Chapter 404

We Love You, All Might!! (大 (だい) 好 (す) き！！ オールマイト！！, Daisuki!! Ōru Maito!!^?) is the four hundred and fourth chapter of Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia.

Summary[]

Sir Nighteye's prediction once again rings through All Might's mind as he feels his body being slowly ripped apart by All For One, on the verge of death. People around the world continue to react to the live broadcast and current events, including the recent weather forecast and the odd atmospheric current in the air. Deku and Tomura notice Dynamight emerging from atop U.A., and instantly blasts his way downward toward them.

Deku reaches his arm out, grabbing Dynamight, while still keeping hold of Tomura, as the three begin to twist. The Second User of One For All calls out to Deku, warning him about using Gearshift again, since there will be no escaping the blowback this time, and must be after he's found the assured path to success. However, seeing the disappearing All Might vestige, Deku goes ahead and uses Gearshift, which in conjunction with Dynamight's Cluster, sends him barrelling through the skies at blistering speeds.

Tomura comments how he won't make it in time, telling Deku how the All Might inside him used to look all faint because he was still alive, but now he's looking more solid and taking true form, indicating he's about to die. He happily states how the man showed the world a dream, and with his death, it will be over and bring everyone back to harsh reality.

As Dynamight rushes forward, Nighteye's words echo in their minds, how between someone's clenched fists, and someone's deep exhalation, there's a sort of energy, from wishing and striving for a certain future, paralleling the weather report talking about how the flap of a butterfly's wings could bring about a hurricane in Texas. As the hopes and prayers of everyone appear to be pushing Dynamight forward, he recalls his own insecurities about his strength and being the one who put an end to All Might and swiftly steals back All Might from All For One's hands. The vestige within One For All turns back into a spirit, an astonished All Might reacts to Dynamight, and the young hero shouts that it's time to win this.
