Troy Team vs. Kunieda is a battle taken place during the Final War between a force of 32 Heroes against the Villains that weren't warped away during Operation Troy, including Tartarus escapee, Kunieda.

Prologue[]

After Yuga Aoyama and his parents were discovered to be spies working under All For One, the Heroes and Police Force create a plan to try and take the Villains by surprise. By using Yuga and Izuku Midoriya as bait, and using Hitoshi Shinso's Brainwashing Quirk to get past the possibility of All For One using a Lie Detecting Quirk once he contacted the Aoyama Family, they'd be able to lure him and his forces out of hiding, warping them across Japan and using the remaining Heroes to take down the Paranormal Liberation Front for good.

Shota interrogates Yuga

Shota talking with an imprisoned Yuga.

While taken into custody and examined at Central Hospital, Shota Aizawa confronts Yuga, asking if he's afraid of All For One. Yuga says yes, and that the more Class 1-A puts their faith in him, the less faith he has in himself, and that he wished he could find a dark corner of the world without light and just wait for his death. Shota says his sins will follow him no matter where he goes, and warns that he might not have a home at U.A. after the war is over, but he still needs to fight, and so long as he's Yuga's teacher, he and the rest of his classmates will protect him.

Fat Gum is in command to capture the remaining villains

Fat Gum is put in charge by All Might.

Days later, Operation Troy is finally put into motion. Deku and Can't Stop Twinkling are able to stage a talk about Japan's future, to which All For One is able to descend upon. Can't Stop Twinkling fires his Navel Laser at the mastermind, who summons his army of Villains, just in time for Neito Monoma to use Kurogiri's Warp Gate Quirk to send the Heroes and Villains across all of Japan in metal cages. Fat Gum is put in charge of the Heroes who stayed behind to take down any stragglers, and to protect Can't Stop Twinkling. Fat Gum also congratulates him on successfully lying to All For One.[1]

Battle[]

The details from the beginning and middle of this battle are unknown.

Sometime after the fighting had commenced, the Heroes across all the battlefields were informed by the Counter-Force of Dabi's defeat by Shoto during their battle. One of the villains left behind, Tartarus escapee Kunieda, begins to infect the battlefield with his Quirk, as the flowers around them begin to sprout and the seedlings begin to infect the Heroes. The villain is able to realize that the cages were mainly used to split up the primary fighters of the villain's side, and the dregs would be improvised on in battle. He dismisses the idea of the Heroes relying on hope and trust, that such things invisible to the eye coat the planet like an oppressive membrane, to which Fat Gum, with flowers starting to stick out of him, mockingly calls him an alien for.

Kunieda warns Can't Stop Twinkling that those who deceive All For One don't last long afterwards; since Dictator failed to capture Deku before Class 1-A could bring him back to U.A., Kunieda never had an opportunity to prove his utility as one of All For One's assassins, but now he has the chance, and says that the rest of the dregs will also come after Can't Stop Twinkling, to which the young man simply replies with "Merci".[2]

Fat Gum succumbs to Kunieda's Quirk

Kunieda's plant army grows bigger

As the war continues on, the battlefield is completely infected with plants. Can't Stop Twinkling and the rest of the Troy Team get taken out by Kunieda, all except for one, who was able to avoid the plant user's Quirk. With the Heroes completely incapacitated and sprouts beginning to grow out of Can't Stop Twinkling, the Tartarus escapee explains that his seedlings don't need any light to bloom, and only require flesh to continue growing.

Fat Gum says his Fat Absorption isn't able to do anything against the plants as their roots continue to dig down into his skin, and it's up to Can't Stop Twinkling to show him what he's made of. Fat Gum is consumed by the plant, and Kunieda is surprised to find that the flower that sprouted out of Fat is the largest he's ever grown.

He continues explaining how his flowers will continue to propagate after a single bloom, and that they're extensions of himself. One of the plants is able to grab Can't Stop Twinkling's now cracked belt and hands it back to the puppeteer, as he already knows the traitor can't aim without it, as his Navel Laser begins to leak out of his body; the Villain also notes that any straining on Can't Stop Twinkling's part will only continue feeding his plants. Kunieda mocks Can't Stop Twinkling for hoping to fit into society, only to become a pawn for All For One and be given a Quirk that's incompatible with his physiology; that he's led a pathetic, shameful life.

Warp Refraction - Navel Laser

"Took you long enough, hero!"

This causes Can't Stop Twinkling to think back on when his parents first gave him his belt, as well as when Deku reached out for him in the aftermath of his traitorous reveal. He tells Kunieda that he said "Merci" because reminding himself about how shamefully he lived is what allows him to follow in the wake of the light his classmates give him.

Can't Stop Twinkling begins charging up an attack that shines deep within his core, and fires a scattershot barrage that seems to go behind his target, to which Kunieda initially mocks him for, but thankfully, Invisible Girl is able to show up from behind, saying it took him long enough, and calling him a hero. She's able to use a combined Ultimate Move, Warp Refraction: Navel Laser, sending it all back against the plant villain, knocking him out cold.[3]

As the dust clears, Can't Stop Twinkling realizes that Invisible Girl has become visible, which causes the girl to get embarrassed without anything to cover her body. She remembers the only other time this had ever happened was the night she and Deku found out he was the traitor, and that facing doom caused Can't Stop Twinkling's Quirk to evolve, which caused her own Quirk to bug out.

She questions him about this, but Can't Stop Twinkling dismisses it and says they need to focus on getting rid of the plants around their allies, remembering how Fat Gum mentioned they'll keep growing even after the user is defeated. He tells Invisible Girl to adjust the strength of his light to burn the roots that are digging into the heroes' flesh. She is concerned about Can't Stop Twinkling's stomach, but he assures her that today is his last day as a U.A. student, and he'll do whatever it takes.[4]

Aftermath[]

Can't Stop Twinkling and Invisible Girl are later seen continuing to clear away the deadly flower field, with Invisible Girl also finding something to cover herself, as the Counter-Force notify that their location is secured and the injured are being tended to.[5]

As the war continues on, Eraser Head and Present Mic were able to bring Kurogiri to their side, asking the counter force to gather all available heroes to warp to Deku's side against "All For One." Can't Stop Twinkling, Invisible Girl and Fat Gum are among the heroes who join the battle, with Invisible Girl reverting back to her invisible state. Before rushing into battle, Can't Stop Twinkling reaches out for Deku's hand and asks for them both to run, telling the injured hero they need to have his strength just as he needs theirs.
