Hospital Raid Team vs. High-Ends

Hospital Raid Team vs. High-Ends is a battle between Pro Heroes on the Hospital Raid Team against four High-Ends Nomu.

The High-Ends are attempting to buy time for Doctor Garaki to awaken Tomura Shigaraki.

Prologue[]

As Crust's team struggles against the Super Regenerative abilities of Chubs, the High-End Nomu who is blocking the path, in the lab Mirko continues to face the other High-Ends, in an attempt to prevent Dr. Garaki from waking up Tomura Shigaraki from his capsule.

Endeavorand other reinforcements arrive to help Crust's team. Eraser Head nullifies the Chubs' Quirks, allowing Endeavor to punch him out of the way with a Jet Burn. The two squads of heroes work together to take on the four High-End Nomu guarding Doctor Garaki's evil laboratory.^[1]

Battle[]

As soon as Endeavor clears Chubs from the entrance door, he immediately flies to the entrance pathway to the inner sanctum of the lab, ignoring the High-End Eleph and Woman. After he passes, Eraser Head and Crust enter the room, followed by Present Mic. Eraser Head block the Nomu's Quirk with his Erasure, and Mic attacks them with his Quirk Voice. Woman quickly slips to hide behind the tanks within the laboratory, but Eleph is stunned by the powerful sound, allowing Crust to thrusts his shields into his body.

Endeavor punches Ribby from above, smashing the High-End head into the ground with a powerful flaming punch and preventing him from continuing to attack Mirko. the Rabbit Hero, who's was fighting the High-End's beforehand and is currently trying to prevent Tomura Shigaraki from re-awakening.

Despite the powerful blow of the the Flame Hero, Ribby managed to create in time layers of bone to protect his head. Because Woman and Eleph blocked his field of view, Eraser Head was late to spot this High-End with his Quirk and yells at Endeavor to finish that one off quickly, promoting Endeavor to heat up his fist further.

This frees Mirko from Ribby's tentacles, allowing her to attack the capsule Tomura is in. The attack only cracks the capsule a bit, but she continues to press on as Tomura reaches 74% completion, having sensed the horror Tomura could unleash if hhe is awakened.

While hiding from the heroes, Woman speculates that one of them is negating her Quirks, and deduces that it's Eraser Head and determines how his Quirk functions. She runs off into the lab to avoid Eraser Head's gaze, being followed by him and X-Less. X-Less starts shooting at the High-End with his Quirk Laser, managing to hit her arm with one of his shots, but Woman quickly regenerates the wound, realizing that she is finally out of the line of sight of Eraser Head's Quirk.

Relishing the "clear" and "amazing" feeling of getting her abilities back, Woman combines her Liquification and Rupture Quirks to create a barrage of liquid bullets. Crust expands his shields to create a large barrier to protect his allies, but several of the projectiles hit Endeavor, which, although they do not cause any damage, distract him long enough for the Nomu he was holding down to attack Mirko again.

Using his tentacles, Ribby pierces her left leg and right arm as Tomura reaches 75% completion and proceeds to drag her away from the Tomura's healing tank, but with one last effort, Mirko uses her Ultimate Move Luna Arc to damage the capsule even more, much to Dr. Garaki's horror, but the Rabbit Hero curses not having managed to destroy it completely.

Ribby violently throws her at Endeavor to get him off his back. The flame Hero manages to grab her but by doing so the Nomu escapes. Seeing her terrible injuries, Endeavor prioritizes saving Mirko and uses his flaming speed to get her out of harms way. She yells outside to the others, telling them that Tomura and the Doctor are inside the inner sanctum, and they must be stopped at all costs, as they cannot they cannot allow Tomura to wake up no matter what.^[1]

The Flame Hero cauterizes the Mirko's wounds to stop the bleeding, as begs her not to die, since he owe’s her for Kyushu. Suddenly, Woman surprise attacks the No. 1 Hero, demanding he entertains her further. Elsewhere, the other heroes continue to struggle the remaining High-Ends. Thanks to Eraser head constantly nullifying the High-End's Quirks, the Heroes are able to fight them back.

Present Mic and the Monk Hero deals with Chubs, while Crust uses his Quirk Shield to contain Eleph and allow Saber Hero to cut off his trunk. For their part, Eraser Head and X-Less fight Ribby. X-Less fires a laser at him, and although Ribby narrowly manages to dodge it, the High-End regrets not being able to use any of his powers because of Eraser Head. Mirko tells her allies via earpieces that Tomura is inside a capsule. She deduces that the Nomu were triggered via electricity by some device that Dr. Garaki has. She warns them that Tomura is no longer an “average villain,” and must not be allowed to awaken.

Eraser Head is aware that the reinforcements will not be long in coming, but even those few seconds are essential. Shota is unable to chase the female High-End fighting Endeavor as he must stay in the outer area to deal with the remaining Nomu, so he asks Mic and X-Less to go further inside the lab. Ribby stands in their way to stop them from going in, but Crust knocks it off balance using his Super Move: Shoot Shield! Thanks to Crust's quick save, X-less and Present Mic are able to make it.

Inside the laboratory, a desperate Dr. Kyudai tries to save Tomura. With the damage done to the equipment, Kyudai reluctantly decides to wake up Tomura despite not being completed. Just as the Mad Doctor prepares to awaken Tomura, Present Mic uses his Ultimate Move: Loud Voice to shatter what’s left of the capsule, sending Tomura's body to the ground.

But Present Mic's attack doesn't end there. As soon as he sees Garaki he runs towards him with hostile intentions. Remembering the damage he did by transforming his friend Oboro into Kurogiri, he delivers a devastating DJ Punch to Kyudai’s face, to confirm if he is a clone or not, but also in retaliation for making his friend cry.

After this, Present Mic restrains the Doctor while X-Less checks Tomura’s pulse as he isn't breathing, verifying that his heart's stopped. A weeping Kyudai reveals he put Tomura in suspended animation to lighten the burden of stabilization and that the container would aid the stabilization process and could resurrect him when necessary. However, because of the heroes' intervention, his and All For One's dream is over.^[2]

While Present Mic and X-Less take care of Garaki and the apparently deceased Tomura, the rest of the team members continue to fight against the High-End. Crust uses his Quirk to strengthen his fists and manages to hurt Eleph. However, even though they have their regenerative abilities nullified due to Eraser Head, High-Ends are still tough opponents. The Erasure Hero wishes he could help Endeavor against the female High-End, but he can't look away from the other three.

Excited at the thought of fighting Endeavor, High-End Woman combines her Quirks again to fire another blast of pressure water shots at him. Endeavor uses his Quirk to create a wall of fire to protect himself and Mirko, evaporating most of the shots. Although she can barely stand on her feet due to her injuries, Mirko wants to continue fighting, but Endeavor orders her to stay still.

Endeavor counters Woman with Hell Spider, but the High-End Nomu dodges each of the beams as she runs towards the Flame Hero. As she is about to attack him, Gran Torino dashes in with his Jet Quirk and knocks her down with a kick to the back.

Gran Torino congratulates Endeavor for holding off the Nomus for so long, and that more heroes have come to help. Ryukyu, Rock Lock, and Backdraft arrive to assist Eraser's group, but he asks them to aid Endeavor instead.

After agreeing to his request, the three heroes find Gran Torino dodging High-End Woman's attacks. Backdraft uses his Water Pump Quirk to fire a jet at Woman to distract her attention, allowing Rock Lock to use his Ultimate Move Deadbolt to pin her feet to the ground. Without giving her time to react, Gran Torino kicks half her brain to pieces, but Woman quickly regenerates it. Endeavor thanks them for their help before using a Jet Burn to land a finishing blow that destroys Woman's head, killing her instantly.^[3]

Moments later, the remaining members of the Hospital Raid Team enter the lair and back up the others. The three remaining High-Ends are all but defeated by the heroes overwhelming numbers.^[4]

Aftermath[]

With all the Nomus defeated, the heroes take control of the lab. Soon Present Mic appears bringing Dr. Garaki with him, greeting his triumphant teammates. However, the victory is short-lived as Tomura Shigaraki suddenly awakens, surprising X-Less before killing him. Unbeknownst to any of the other heroes, Tomura unleashes the full might of his Quirk, and the inner area of the lab is instantly consumed by Tomura's incredible decaying power. ^[5]

Gran Torino quickly swoops in to grab Present Mic before the decay kills him and the Doctor. As he flies away, Gran Torino warns the others to retreat and avoid the decay at all costs. Before long, the outer area of the lab begins to crumble away. Ryukyu grabs a number of heroes and tries to save Eraser Head as well, but a Nomu grabs his leg before he can jump on the dragon's back.

Crust sacrifices his life to save Eraser Head and cuts the Nomu's arm off with Shoot Shield, allowing Ryukyu to carry him away from danger. The heroes with flying capabilities including Endeavor, Gran Torino, and Ryukyu try to carry the others away at top speed as the hospital begins to collapse from the quickly spreading decay.

Outside, Wash attempts to use his Quirk to lift civilians to safety. Pixie-Bob attempts to use Earth-Flow to stop the decay but it's to no avail. Before long, the destruction spreads across the city, symbolizing Tomura preparing to tear down everything the heroes have built.^[6]

Manga & Anime Differences[]

• The anime expands on the battle against the High-End Nomus after Garaki's capture, showing Gran Torino, Rock Lock, and Backdraft also helping in the fight before the remaining members Hospital Raid team storm the lab.
• In the manga, it is Ryukyu and Kido who help Endeavor defeat High-End Woman, while in the anime it is Gran Torino, Rock Lock, and Backdraft.
