Flashfire Fist ( (かく) (しゃく) (ねっ) (けん) Kaku Shakunekken?) is an Ultimate Move performed by Endeavor, Shoto Todoroki, and Dabi using the Hellflame, Half-Cold Half-Hot, and Blueflame Quirks, respectively.

Description[]

Flashfire Fist is Endeavor's signature technique. Endeavor raises his fire's temperature to its highest level and maximizes his power. By doing so, the Flame Hero can unleash devastating flame attacks or increase his speed dramatically. Flashfire Fist condenses Endeavor's flames into a white-hot point and is meant to act as a one-hit finisher. Endeavor can perform several variations of his Flashfire Fist move, each with a different form of attack.

Endeavor uses Flashfire Fist several times against the High-End Hood. Such use of the move raises his body temperature drastically; a glaring weakness when using this technique.[1]

During Mission: Humarise, Shoto first uses his father's signature technique, using it to perform his Ultimate Move, Jet Kindling, against Leviathan.[2] He later uses the same move against Dabi, during the Paranormal Liberation War.[3] Dabi reveals he's learned the technique as well, soon after.[4]

Later development and mastery of his Quirk has allowed Shoto to form his unique form of Flashfire Fist by merging his ice and fire into one ability.[5][6] This form of Flashfire Fist uses "cold fire" to primarily prevent himself from getting burnt by, and gain an advantage over, other fire-based Quirks. This technique requires a certain amount of concentration; otherwise, it can falter.[7]

Related Techniques[]

Endeavor[]

Flashfire Fist - Jet Burn Jet Burn (ジェットバーン Jettobān?): Enji shoots flames out the back of his fist to propel it forward and delivers a powerful blow to the enemy. This was first seen used against Hood.[8]
Flashfire Fist - Hell Spider with two hands Hell Spider (ヘルスパイダー Heru Supaidā?): Enji shoots streams of fire out of his fingers to burn his enemy. The flames take a form similar to a spider's web, hence the name. The flames are hot enough to burn through Hood's muscles and dice a building apart.[9]
Prominence Burn Prominence Burn (プロミネンスバーン Purominensu Bān?): This attack allows Endeavor to launch a massive, concentrated beam of fire from his entire body that is able to vaporize his target.[1][10]
Hell's Curtain Hell's Curtain (ヘル カーテイン Heru Kātein?): Enji throws both of his fists back while concentrating all of his flames into a single point. He then throws his arms forward, throwing a massive blanket of flames onto his opponent.[11]

Shoto Todoroki[]

Shoto's Hell Spider Hell Spider (ヘルスパイダー Heru Supaidā?): Shoto concentrates his flames into white-hot points on his fingertips and emits beams of fire to slice through his target.[2]
Jet Kindling Jet Kindling ( (ふん) (りゅう) () (えん) Funryūshien?): Shoto focuses and concentrates his flames into a white-hot point on his fist and punches his opponent. On contact, a violent explosion of flames burst out of Shoto's arm, severely burning his target.[3]
Phosphor Phosphor ( (りん) Rin?): Shoto circulates both halves of his Quirk throughout his body, merging the fire and ice into one ability. This Ultimate Move also serves as a basis for other moves Shoto uses.[6]

Dabi[]

Jet Burn vs. Jet Kindling Jet Burn (ジェットバーン Jettobān?): Like his father, Dabi unleashes a powerful blast of fire at the enemy, although unlike him, Dabi only shoots his fire rather than punching towards his opponent. This was first seen used against Shoto.[12]
Prominence Burn (Dabi) Prominence Burn (プロミネンスバーン Purominensu Bān?): This attack allows Dabi to launch a massive, concentrated beam of fire from his entire body that is able to vaporize his target.[1] Dabi nearly used this move at full power against Endeavor but was intercepted by the sudden arrival of Best Jeanist on the battlefield.[4]
Hell Spider (Dabi) Hell Spider (ヘルスパイダー Heru Supaidā?): Dabi shoots streams of fire from his fingertips, scorching his opponents.[6]
Dabi's Phosphor Phosphor ( (りん) Rin?): Dabi copies Shoto's Ultimate Move, originally designed to combine his fire and ice into one attack, and instead uses it to reinvigorate himself and his flames after Shoto's attempt to cool him down.[13]
