Chapter 406

Get a Grip on Your Quirk!! (摑 (つか) め！！おまえの"個 (こ) 性 (せい) ", Tsukame!! Omae no "Kosei"^?) is the four hundred and sixth chapter of Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia.

Summary[]

The Counter-Force report in on the updates to all the ongoing battles. The riot at Central Hospital is suppressed, with the injured being treated and the captives being transported. The Nomu and Villains have been defeated on Okuto Island. The Heroes are being rescued at the Ground Zero for Operation Troy. The fighting at the Takoba National Stadium continues. Skeptic is apprehended and in the process of being escorted. The evacuation of the U.A. to Shiketsu blocks has been completed with the civilians on their way to safety. All the Villains are defeated at the Jaku Hospital Ruins. Kurogiri is still missing, alongside Eraser Head and Present Mic. Meanwhile, a recovering Lady Nagant thinks about Deku.

All Might watches in amazement at Dynamight's speed, with Edgeshot mentioning that when he was on the brink of death, he even outpaced Tomura, noting he seems to be on the verge of grasping something essential about his Quirk. Dynamight looks down at the crater where he blasted All For One, thinking how he must make use of his side effect and can't stop, while the Villain remarks he'll just deal with him later.

Tomura manages to break free of Blackwhip, saying he will destroy Deku's hold on him again and again. Deku thinks about how he's been able to use Danger Sense to keep his distance, but still doesn't have a way to deal with Tomura's Regeneration, Decay, and enhanced body. He knows his next Gearshift will be his true final one, since the blowback will prevent him from moving again, knowing he will have to end things now. The four face down each other ready to "go beyond".

All For One blasts forward past Dynamight, with the latter annoyed at being ignored. All For One thinks about how Dynamight's not as strong as Endeavor or Dark Shadow, and especially not All Might, so he can wait, refusing to let him speed up the rewinding process for being "a mere pebble in his path". Meanwhile, Dynamight discovers the secret behind his Explosion's control, that being his pain. When the beads of sweat stored in his palms shoot through his whole body, the pain of the intervals where they explode is what gives him a handle on the timing of his backup blasts.

Dynamight proceeds to twist himself at insane speeds to catch up to All For One, the former remarking how he's so fast he can't stop, and the latter wondering what is up with him; Dynamight feels in this moment that he could even surpass Deku now. Elsewhere in the evacuation center, Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugo watch their son on the live broadcast. Masaru is too afraid to look, but Mitsuki says they have to watch, because their kid must be grinning like he always does.

All For One wonders why this "pebble" is making him angrier than All Might, when he once again sees a flash of the Second User of One For All, realizing their resemblance. He recalls choking him out, when he revealed that Yoichi is gone because he killed him. All For One surmises his feeling of hatred brings back these memories, and that it all comes back to him, as if he never reached his hand out to Yoichi, none of this would've happened. After being blasted back by another Explosion, All For One realizes who the one he truly hates the most is, and yells out to "Kudo" that he's to blame. Dynamight remarks that he has gone senile, calling himself "Kacchan Bakugo".
