Chapter 405

The Final Boss!! (ラスボス！！, Rasubosu!!^?) is the four hundred and fifth chapter of Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia.

Summary[]

All Might asks his hallucination of Sir Nighteye if this wasn't when he was supposed to die, but he claims it was where his dream died, and that fate was reshaped, so that while his dream did end there, his promise to live for Izuku's sake was kept in tact. All Might says that the old mentor is supposed to die after passing on the torch, but Nighteye quips he's read too many comic books, making All Might remark at what he's making his hallucination say. Nighteye smiles and says that he's a hero, but he's also human, so he can't possibly die so readily.

Dynamight continues blasting himself forward while carrying All Might, landing on a nearby building. The people watching the broadcast react to this sudden development, with some recognizing him as the kid from the Sports Festival and the one who got kidnapped by the League, with Katsuma and Mahoro excitedly realizing it's him. All Might asks if he's okay, and Dynamight bites back that it's his line.

He then suddenly coughs up a lot of blood as Edgeshot, now just the size of a thread, emerges from Dynamight's body, saying that it's his line to ask. All Might is surprised to see him as he explains he was forced to expel the blood within which should now grant him some relief. He further explains how he used his body to mend his organs and broken bones with knots using his "Hidden Hakamada Style", so the repairs won't come unravelled, however reminds him that he will still deal with blowback if he tries to move as his body needs rest. Dynamight proceeds to thank Edgeshot for bringing him back.

However, Edgeshot states that he simply held him together, revealing that despite successfully restarting his heart and lungs, he wasn't able to return him to life. With his Ninpo: Thousand Sheet Pierce - Zenith slowly eating away at his own life, he was at his limit when he suddenly noticed rushing through the bloodstream a tiny bead of sweat Dynamight produced moments before his death. He states that while he only held him together, what brought him back was the power he's honed.

Dynamight proceeds to ask who the glowing kid is, assuming All Might was going to fight All For One, which All Might reveals is in fact him. Due to still being paralyzed, he asks for Dynamight's arm, and hands him over the remaining bits of his gauntlet to act as a brace, the "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight". All Might wishes he could give him more, as he collapses, and Dynamight responds with a smile.

An enraged All For One is about to go after the two of them, before stopping himself, deciding he needs to get One For All and his brother now, by hijacking Tomura's will with his Quirk and himself. His blood boiling, he laments his vestige's failure to overtake the body, and as the faces of all the determined Heroes who he fought against flash through his mind, wonders how the gears have gone so awry, and that the wind was meant to blow his way. Suddenly, Dynamight appears before him, shouting that he's the final boss, and causing a flash of the Second User of One For All to once again haunt him. Dynamight unleashes a point blank Explosion, declaring that One For All couldn't keep him in the ground, but they'll finish the job.

• Edgeshot re-emerges from Dynamight's body, revealing that he successfully stitched his broken organs and bones up, and that a stray explosive sweat drop was what finally resuscitated him back to life.
