Star Wars: A Galaxy at War is a hardcover reference book compiling three previously published young-reader titles from authors Simon Beecroft and Lindsay Kent: Star Wars: Epic Battles, Star Wars: Ultimate Duels, and Star Wars: Beware the Dark Side. It was first published by Dorling Kindersley on May 15, 2014[1] and re-released under the Disney brand in 2015. It was again released under the Disney brand in 2018.

When asked about why the book had been rereleased by a fan, Pablo Hidalgo—who is given Lucasfilm Story Group credits in the rereleased edition, suggesting the book was approved by that team—did not recall the book off the top of his head.[2] Based on what he suspected about books with little new information, such as young reader texts that largely stay close to Skywalker saga information, he reasoned there had been little need to actively revisit the text before rerelease if the fan's reporting was accurate.[3]

Do you have any memory of actually doing anything with it?" and "It collects previously published young readers based on the OT and PT, did you just give them a thumbs up since they introduce nothing new and just get rereleased to get kids up to speed on the universe?")" 3. BlueskyLogo Pablo Hidalgo (@infinata.bsky.social) on Bluesky (May 21, 2024): "I suspect that if they hew close to on-screen material, there's very little need to revisit them (In response to: "That's fair, no issue! There's been a couple of these, 2008-2014 era kids books that get republished with story group credits. Is the idea that because they offer so little information, there is no harm in having them out there as "current" releases?")" (backup link)
