The Ilum system was a star system in the 7G sector of the Unknown Regions that contained the ice planet Ilum^[1] in its fifth position,^[4] which was important in the training of Jedi younglings,^[5] as well as an airless planet furthest from the system's center.^[7] The system had one star, a blue dwarf named Asar that was extremely bright for its star type. Located further out in the system was a cometary cloud.^[4] Ilum later moved into a neighboring system after the First Order built a mobile superweapon within the planet.^[9]
