The Chommell sector was a galactic sector located in the Mid Rim.^[1] Lightly populated, it comprised 36 full-member worlds, over 40,000 settled dependencies, and 300,000,000 barren stars.^[17] It notably included the Naboo system^[1] and Karlinus.^[5] The sector was represented in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic by Sheev Palpatine^[4] and later Padmé Amidala.^[5] The sector took its name from the Chommell Minor system.^[3] In 228 BBY,^[18] Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro began haphazardly expanding the border of his Stormwall barrier that prevented hyperspace, with one such expansion engulfing most of the Chommell sector, including Naboo.^[2]
