Darth Vader 30 is the thirtieth issue of the 2020 canon comic book series Star Wars: Darth Vader. The issue was written by Greg Pak, illustrated by Luke Ross and Federico Blee, and published by Marvel Comics on January 11, 2023.

Publisher's summary[]

ALL HER SHADOWS! During their terrible battle at Padmé's tomb on Naboo, the Queen's most devoted handmaidens were no match for the fury of Darth Vader. So as they are about to face the Dark Lord again, the handmaidens have prepared. But so has Vader. Who will triumph in the rematch? And what dark price will that victory exact?

Plot summary[]

ALL HER SHADOWS
Under the tutelage of Darth Vader, Sabé,
the former handmaiden of Padmé Amidala, has
slipped further under the influence of the
Empire. Seeking to liberate their companion
from Darth Vader's grasp or put an end to her
desecration of Padmé's memory, Sabé's
fellow handmaidens apprehended the
assassin Ochi of Bestoon.

Using Ochi and his security clearances, the
handmaiden Dormé boarded the ''Executor''
posing as Sabé to track down her
whereabouts. Dormé discovered that Sabé
had been dispatched to Skako Minor to
assassinate Jul Tambor. Moments later,
Dormé's cover was blown by Darth Vader.

On Skako Minor, Jul Tambor attempted to
sway Sabé to his side to no avail, as Sabé
followed orders and shot her target down….

Development[]

On August 24, 2022, writer Greg Pak tweeted that he had recently turned in the script for the issue.[3]

Continuity[]

The opening crawl of the issue states that Sabé had been sent on a mission to Skako Minor to assassinate Jul Tambor, even though the issue itself, and the prior issue, Darth Vader (2020) 29, depicted Sabé's mission as taking place on Brentaal IV.[4]

On the first page, Saché refers to Eirtaé as "Saché."
