"Lys' Creature Caper" is the second short of the animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. It was released on the Disney Junior YouTube channel on March 27, 2023.^[1]

Lys follows the clues to retrieve an adorable creature running amok through the Jedi Temple.^[1]

Plot summary[]

At the Jedi Temple on Tenoo, Lys Solay visits Nash Durango and RJ-83, who are making repairs to their starship Crimson Firehawk. Durango tells Solay that she is delivering a tooka kitten to the animal preserve outside of town. While the younglings are speaking, the tooka takes an interest in a fluttering blue insect and unlocks her container's button. She runs away.

Solay and Durango discover she is missing. Solay tells Durango and RJ to continue working on their ship while she finds the lost tooka. The blue insect leads the tooka into the Temple's courtyard where Kai Brightstar is practising with his green lightsaber. The tooka jumps on Brightstar, startling him. Solay arrives and explains that she is searching for the tooka kitten. Brightstar gives Solay directions and she rushes off after the kitten.

Solay pursues the tooka kitten into the mess hall. The kitten leaps onto a table and Solay runs after her, scattering food. Solay uses her Force powers to prevent a tray from falling on a brown-haired human girl. Nubs attempts to grab the fly but the tooka kitten runs past his bowl, scattering red noodles on his face. Nubs slurps the noodles.

The chase leads Solay into a bedroom where she finally recaptures the tooka kitten. After returning the kitten to her container, Solay reassures it that it will have new fun at its new home. Durango thanks Solay for recovering the kitten, prompting Solay to say that a Jedi is always willing to help. Before leaving, she strokes the kitten.
