During the High Republic Era, the Nihil pirates attacked the planet Valo. During the attack, the Jedi youngling Gavi witnessed his Jedi Master,[3] Aebal,[2] being killed by a Nameless, though he managed to escape and lived in the ruins of the Lonisa City Zoo for months along with fellow younglings Kildo and Tep Tep.[3] As a result of the attack, Valo was consumed by the Nihil and placed behind its Stormwall[1] in the Occlusion Zone.[5]
