The infiltration on Corellia was an operation launched by the Nihil cell commanded by Krix Kamerat[4] on the orders of the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro.[7] Aided by the Father of Finances Nomar Tralmat, the Nihil were able to hide hundreds of themselves on the Core World of Corellia amongst the Coronet municipal police, with Tralmat hiring the undercover marauders on the claim they would help with security for new starships being built in the Santhe Shipyards of Coronet City. In reality, the Nihil intended to use the opening to steal Longbeam cruisers and MPO-1400 Purgill-class star cruisers with which they could assist in the destruction of Starlight Beacon. The Nihil also helped to escalate a union dispute on Gus Talon to distract the Corellia's Jedi planetary defense forces, even arranging for a bombing at Gus Talon University.[4]
Kamerat was prevented from playing an active role[7] in the theft of the starships when as he was captured by the Jedi during a raid on his base-of-operations at Dol'har Hyde. When Tralmat faked his death with clear signs of Nihil involvement, a team of Jedi—Jedi Masters Cohmac Vitus and Kantam Sy, joined by Padawans Reath Silas and Ram Jomaram—from Starlight Beacon were dispatched to Coronet City, where they joined with the Supreme Coronet City Diplomat Protection. Meanwhile, Tralmat's political pawn Ovus Buckell, who became the new Father of Finances after Tralmat's supposed death, was deceived into believing there would only be several small-scale Nihil attacks to make the Corellians distrustful of outsiders, only for hundreds of Nihil, joined by armored support, to march towards the shipyards as the operation neared its end. Ultimately, the Jedi, Diplomat Protection agency, and the other allies they managed to rally defeated Nihil plot.[4]
Nonetheless, the other pieces to Ro's wider plot were successful, with Starlight indeed being destroyed before he unleashed the stormseeds.[9] Additionally, Corellia erupted into a civil war after the Nihil infiltration.[5]
