At some point in his life, Atsuhiro worked as an entertainer before turning to a life of crime.[2]

Summary[]

Forest Training Camp Arc[]

Mr

Mr. Compress captures Katsuki and Fumikage.

Mr. Compress is recruited to the Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains, with the goal of kidnapping Katsuki Bakugo. He is one of the last Villains to arrive at The Beast's Forest, and he follows closely behind the group of students formed by Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, Mezo Shoji, Fumikage Tokoyami, and his target Katsuki, after they defeated Moonfish during the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion.

With stealth, Mr. Compress manages to capture Katsuki and Fumikage with his Compress Quirk without the others noticing until they meet Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui, realizing the absence of Katsuki. He takes the students by surprise when he introduces himself while balancing on a tree branch, playing with a marble. He explains that he took Katsuki with his "magic". Angry, Izuku demands that the villain return Katsuki.[3]

Mr

Mr. Compress informs his allies that he has captured Katsuki.

Mr. Compress replies that Katsuki's talents would be wasted as a hero, and says Izuku is arrogant for trying to claim Katsuki for his own. Shoto tries to freeze the villain but he evades and continues taunting the young heroes. He says Katsuki is drowning in a society of heroism and that the Vanguard Action Squad wishes to show him another way.

Mezo notices that Fumikage is missing as well. Shoto wonders what the villain's Quirk could be and warns him not to underestimate the boys. Showng a second marble, Mr. Compress explains he improvised on taking Fumikage because he defeated Moonfish so easily, and violently. Shoto tries to freeze Mr. Compress with a massive ice wave, but the showman avoids it.

Izuku, Shoto and Mezo tackle Mr

Izuku, Shoto, and Mezo catch Mr. Compress.

After apparently putting the marbles in a pocket of his trench coat, Mr. Compress admits he's not much of a combatant and then radios the Vanguard Action Squad to meet at the rendezvous point. Then, he moves quickly through the treetops towards the meeting point.

Not allowing the villain to escape, with the help of Ochaco and Tsuyu, Izuku, Shoto, and Mezo are thrown at high speed towards Mr. Compress. They manage to tackle him out of the air and slam him into the ground at the planned rendezvous area, where his allies Dabi, Himiko Toga, and Twice were waiting.[2]

Mr

Mr. Compress reveals he's fooled Mezo.

Dabi warns Mr. Compress to get out of the way, and he complies by compressing himself into a marble before Dabi unleashes a powerful blast with his Blueflame Quirk, forcing the students away. As Twice and Himiko deal with them, Mr. Compress reverts to his normal form. He complains that they ruined his exit and Dabi asks about Katsuki. Mr. Compress rummages through his pockets and finds that the marbles are missing. Mezo reveals that he stole them and surmises that Katsuki and Fumikage are sealed inside them.

The boys flee and Dabi wants to pursue them, but Mr. Compress tells him to wait. Kurogiri arrives to take the villains back to safety, blocking the students' way. Kurogiri creates several Warp Gates so that the villains can escape. The villains start to escape but Dabi says that they haven't achieved their goal yet, that's when Mr. Compress tells him he was impressed with the boy's efforts so he allowed them to gloat.

Mr

Mr. Compress is hit by Yuga's laser.

The showman turns his attention to the boys and tells them that he flashed those fake marbles to hide the real ones. He moves his mask aside and reveals he has held the real marbles inside his mouth the entire time. Mr. Compress reverts the fake marbles into ice, revealing that he took Shoto's ice from his previous attack and compressed it to fool his pursuers.

Before disappearing into Kurogiri's Warp Gate, Mr. Compress takes one final bow. This leaves him open to a surprise attack from Yuga Aoyama, who was hiding in the bushes. Yuga's Navel Laser blasts Mr. Compress in the face, breaking his mask and forcing the marbles out of his mouth. Dabi catches one of them and orders Mr. Compress to release them. He reverts Katsuki and Fumikage back to normal after complaining that Yuga ruined his finale. Dabi holds Katsuki by the neck and drags him through the portal, completing the League of Villains' mission.[4]

Hideout Raid Arc[]

Katsuki and the League of Villains

Tomura invites Katsuki to join his cause.

After watching the video clip about U.A. High School's public apology for what happened in the forest and the kidnapping of Katsuki, Tomura Shigaraki understands why society is criticizing U.A. for their failure and that is because the current Hero society is not just. Spinner agrees that the current Hero society is not just because the modern Heroes are only doing their job for compensation and not out of selflessness. Tomura explains that the League of Villains are fighting for a just society and intends to win this battle.

Tomura orders the removal of Katsuki's restraints. Tomura wants to treat Katsuki as an equal and is aware that Katsuki knows he has no possibility of winning. As Twice removes the restraints, Mr. Compress apologizes to Katsuki for forcibly kidnapping him and explains that the League of Villains are not just a group of hoodlums perpetuating crimes, nor did they casually abduct him; he continues on by saying that everyone in the League of Villains is shackled by the current society and hopes that Katsuki understands their discrimination.

Twice, Mr

The villains are confused when a "pizza delivery man" knocks on their door.

Katsuki's restraints are removed, and as Tomura approaches him, Katsuki attacks him with his Explosions. Katsuki tells the League of Villains that it is pointless to try and make him change his mind as he has already been won over by the way All Might looks when he wins. Katsuki says that from the beginning he has dreamed of becoming a Hero and surpassing All Might and nothing they say will change that.[5]

Katsuki tries intimidating his captors, but Mr. Compress along with the rest of the Vanguard Action Squad are not intimidated; Mr. Compress states that if Katsuki was moronic, he would have listened to them and is disappointed in Katsuki's decision to go against them.[6]

Hideout Raid Arc (Anime)

The Pro Heroes break into the hideout.

Tomura orders Mr. Compress to use his Quirk on Katsuki again, while he states he is impressed with Katsuki's stubbornness. Before he has the chance to, someone knocks on their door saying that they have brought a pizza, which leaves the villains confused. Then, All Might breaks in with Kamui Woods swinging in, and restrains Mr. Compress along with the other League of Villains with his Lacquered Chain Prison. Dabi tries to burn the branches but is knocked out by Gran Torino. Mr. Compress realizes that U.A.'s public broadcast apology was just a diversion to catch him and his fellow villains off guard.[7]

It seems that all is lost for the League of Villains, but out of nowhere, Nomus appear from a mysterious back liquid which catches the Pro Heroes off guard. Mr. Compress along with the League of Villains and Katsuki are teleported by the mysterious black liquid to the League of Villains' destroyed warehouse where All For One is.[8]

Repulsion Breakup Moonlight Flit Cannon

Magne sends Mr. Compress after Katsuki in hopes of recapturing him.

All Might soon arrives at the place to rescue Katsuki, forcing All For One to fight him. All For One forcefully activates Kurogiri's Quirk which creates a portal for the League of Villains to escape through with Katsuki. Mr. Compress uses his Quirk on the unconscious Dabi and tells Tomura that they need to leave. Seeing that Katsuki won't go with them willingly, Mr. Compress, along with Twice and Himiko, battle Katsuki but the student fends them off with Explosions.[9]

To everyone's surprise, Izuku, Tenya Ida, and Eijiro Kirishima appear out of nowhere and manage to rescue Katsuki. Mr. Compress along with Magne and Spinner, hatch a plan to recapture Katsuki. Magne magnetizes Mr. Compress and Spinner pushes him, causing Mr. Compress to fly at Izuku's group.

League of Villains regroup

The League of Villains regroups at another hideout.

Suddenly, Mt. Lady uses Titan Cliff and intercepts Mr. Compress, which causes them to smash into each other, preventing Mr. Compress from getting to the students. Mr. Compress falls to the ground and becomes unconscious due to Mt Lady's attack.

Mr. Compress, along with Tomura and the Vanguard Action Squad, are forcefully magnetized by Magne's Quirk, courtesy of All For One; Mr. Compress is sucked into Kurogiri's Warp Gate and teleported away.[10] Mr. Compress later recovers along with the rest of the League during the aftermath of the battle, in which All Might defeated All For One but is no longer able to work as a hero.

Provisional Hero License Exam Arc[]

Mr

Waiting in the dark.

Once the League of Villains regain their momentum, Mr. Compress contacts Himiko after the Provisional Hero License Exam ends. Mr. Compress expresses concern for Himiko and tells her to be more careful on revealing her appearance in the public.

Himiko assures Mr. Compress that she always is cautious enough to avoid getting caught. Along with that, Himiko reveals that she managed to collect a dose of Izuku's blood, much to the delight of Tomura, who plans his grand return.[11]

Shie Hassaikai Arc[]

Overhaul meets the League of Villains

Overhaul meets the League of Villains.

After the capture of All For One, the League of Villains has lost a lot of strength, therefore, Tomura orders that the members of the League look for suitable people to join them in their ranks. Twice meets Overhaul, leader of Shie Hassaikai, and invites him to an abandoned factory to meet with the others.

Once here, Tomura recognizes Overhaul as the young boss of the Shie Hassaikai, one of the Yakuza that All For One showed him before. Himiko asks how someone involved in organized crime is different from the League of Villains. Mr. Compress explains to Himiko that the yakuza come from an old era of Villains where there were a number of frightening organizations that ran the underworld, but the rise of Heroes started to put an end to those underworld villain organizations. Following the rise of All Might, the yakuza nearly became extinct and live under constant surveillance. Ashamed, even Overhaul is inclined to agree on the sorry state of the yakuza.

The League horrified at Magne’s demise

The League expresses horror over Magne's brutal demise.

Overhaul is unimpressed with the League of Villains. He explains that with All For One's downfall, someone will eventually become the next ruler of the underworld. However, Tomura replies that he will become the next underworld ruler after he gathers more members and crushes the current Hero society. Overhaul argues a goal with no plan is a delusion and says Tomura wasted first-class soldiers like Stain, Muscular, and Moonfish. Overhaul reveals that he has a plan and he wants the League to join him. He needs the League of Villain's name to to gain financial capital for his plan that will allow him to be the new ruler.

As Tomura orders Overhaul to leave, Magne rejects this proposal and magnetizes Overhaul, bringing him into Magne's range. Magne hits Overhaul on the head with her weapon, to which Overhaul responds by touching Magne. Overhaul's physical contact causes Magne to blow up, much to the League of Villains' shock. Overhaul blames the League for throwing the first punch and dislikes the blood running down his face.

Overhaul destroys Compress's arm

Overhaul destroys Mr. Compress' arm.

Mr. Compress charges forward and touches Overhaul, but his Compress Quirk does not activate after being shot in the arm. Overhaul is enraged that he has been touched and completely disassembles Mr. Compress' left arm. Tomura leaps into the fray, the bullet misses him and one of Overhaul's underlings shields him, getting disintegrated by Tomura's Decay in the process.

Overhaul then calls his subordinates, who come crashing in. Seeing that both of their organizations have suffered casualties with the deaths of their respective members, Overhaul ceases fighting and leaves, wishing to talk with Tomura again after he has calmed down.

Tomura reunites with the League of Villains

Tomura explains his team the situation.

Twice and Himiko want to avenge their allies and kill him. Although he is also angry, Tomura orders them to stand down, allowing the Shie Hassaikai to leave the place. Twice checks on Compress' condition and Himiko tells them they need to get Compress to a doctor.[12] Later, they get in touch with Giran who provides Mr. Compress with a robotic arm to replace the one he lost.

After meeting Overhaul again, Tomura signs an alliance between the League and Shie Hassaikai. In exchange for Overhaul explaining his plan, which is to sell special bullets that allow erasing Quirks, he gives him Twice and Himiko. Although both are not initially happy with Tomura's decision, he manages to convince them that this is the best way to get revenge.[13]

League of Villains watch the Heroes fight Overhaul

Himiko and Twice use a Mr. Compress Double to achieve their goals.

And only a few days later did that opportunity come. During this time, a group of Heroes led by Sir Nighteye assault the underground base of the Shie Hassaikai, and a moment is used by Himiko and Twice to betray Overhaul by helping the Heroes. During the ruckus, Twice creates a Double of Mr. Compress to dig them up to street level. Once there, using her Quirk to disguise as Izuku, Himiko manages to fool Ryukyu's Squad to open for them a path right to Overhaul's battle with Nighteye's squad.

Twice and Himiko wanted to take advantage of the raid to snatch the source with which Overhaul manufactured his bullets, a girl named Eri, but due to how dangerous it is to get close, they decide to have the Double of Mr. Compress go and capture her. Before he can protest, the Compress Double is pushed down the hole. The Double fails, as it is easily dispatched by Ryukyu, and Twice and Himiko are forced to withdraw.[14]

League of Villains attack the Police

Tomura and the League confront the Police.

After a hard battle, all members of Shie Hassaikai are arrested, the criminal organization is dismantled, and Overhaul's creations are placed in police safekeeping. However, Twice and Himiko tell their allies where Overhaul and the perfected Quirk-Destroying Bullets are.

With their indications, Mr. Compress and the League find and apprehend the police van escorting Overhaul. Sand Hero: Snatch confronts them but after a brief skirmish, Mr. Compress compresses him into a sphere with some of Dabi's flames. The van transporting Overhaul crashes after hitting a boulder Mr. Compress threw into the road.

Mr

Mr. Compress extracts his vengeance on Chisaki.

Tomura confronts Overhaul and tells him how much he hates him. Mr. Compress appears from behind and agrees with the statement by compressing part of Overhaul's left arm, severing it at the wrist as an act of revenge. Tomura decays Overhaul's right arm before cutting it off and taunts the powerless yakuza about how he wanted others to lose their Quirks but now he himself is one of them.

Overhaul is left armless, helpless and horrified while the League of Villains walks away from the wreckage with the Quirk-Destroying Bullets.[15]

Meta Liberation Army Arc[]

Less than a month before the Hero Billboard Chart JP, the League of Villains is in a sorry state. They're barely scraping by with no funds and have resorted to stealing from other criminal groups, while hiding out in an abandoned run-down building near a construction site. Sometime during this period while the League are taking it easy, Twice asks Himiko if she wants a Villain name of her own, with Mr. Compress and Spinner adding that her and Tomura are the only ones without one. Himiko refuses one, with Compress arguing that a Villain name adds a bit of class, Spinner suggesting "Vampiress Carmilla", and Twice suggesting "Suck-Suck" (and "Lickitung"). Dabi calls the suggestions stupid and just crowd-pleasing crap as a holdover from before the Quirk registration system. Compress retorts back he's one to talk considering his owe name, while snidely stating he still hasn't told them his real name yet.

Tomura proceeds to explain how in the past there used to be no difference between Heroes and Villains, with one theory being that aliases were originated when you had an anonymous enemy and needed to call them something. From there, some adopted those nicknames to hide their identities, and eventually, they went all in with the code-names ripped straight from comic books, leading to the world becoming like a comic book itself. Tomura says he's good without one, even though he thinks they can be cool, and Himiko jumps for joy, saying that is why she joined the League, to live as "Himiko Toga".[16]

Mr

Mr. Compress apologizes to the Creature Rejection Clan for stealing from them.

Sometime later, the League of Villains, minus Dabi, raid the base belonging to the Creature Rejection Clan. In search of valuables to sell, Mr. Compress rifles through some knickknacks that are on display, explaining that the League is strapped for cash. The CRC attack the League in retaliation. When a member of the religious group attempts to restrain him from behind, Mr. Compress uses his Quirk to compress his attacker's arm.

The League slaughters the Clan, but find nothing worth selling. While Himiko laments over one of her broken blood drawing needles, Mr. Compress mentions that his prosthetic arm is beginning to get squeaky as well, and that they should have Giran replace them, only for Twice to question where they will obtain the funds necessary for that.

After the raid, the League of Villains take refuge at their rundown construction site hideout. During a confrontation between Tomura and Spinner, Mr. Compress chimes in to complain that they would all be eating sushi right about then, had they worked with the Shie Hassaikai. A rumble shakes the building, ending the disagreement.[17] The League rushes outside of the base to see Gigantomachia burst from the ground. Compress is stunned by his appearance.

Gigantomachia finds the League of Villains

Gigantomachia ready to test the League's strength.

After setting down his radio and confirming Tomura's identity, Gigantomachia challenges the League to see whether they are worthy of his loyalty. The confrontation ends with Gigantomachia crying in disappointment to see how weak the League is after easily subduing them. During the fight, Mr. Compress was easily tossed aside by the beast, losing his hat and the hand of his prosthetic arm in the process.[18]

The voice of the doctor they are looking for comes from Gigantomachia's radio, calming the beast with voice recordings of All for One, and warps the League to his secret laboratory. Because of a backlight, Mr. Compress barely can see him, and the doctor warns him and the others to not come closer if they don't want to go back to Gigantomachia. Then, he introduces himself as Daruma Ujiko and asks Tomura why he should receive help after the League of Villains has accomplished next to nothing.[19]

The League listen to Tomura's story

Mr. Compress listens to Tomura's conversation.

After examining his memories, Tomura reveals fragments of his past have left a hole in his heart that can never be filled; he wants to use that anguish to destroy everything that exists. Tomura says that he will show Daruma heaven and hell if he will help. Daruma responds that it's a childish dream but is impressed by how serious Tomura is in his dream; Daruma agrees nonetheless. Mr. Compress notes how easy it was to convince the doctor.

Daruma accepts Tomura but he will only fully support the League after they get Gigantomachia to submit. The Doctor transports everyone else back to Gigantomachia, where Tomura leads them with his restored confidence.[20]

The League of Villains attack Gigantomachia in mid-air

Compress and Twice help Tomura against Gigantomachia.

For the next month and a half, Mr. Compress and the other League members continue to support Tomura as he fights against Gigantomachia for nearly 45 hours at a time. During one of the moments of rest from the constant confrontations, Twice's phone rings and he mentions that it's Giran. A frustrated Mr. Compress yells out that Giran has not answered his calls and wants to know if his damaged prosthetic arm is insured.

The voice on the other end speaks in a different voice and Compress wonders if Giran is using a voice changer, but Twice realizes that the interlocutor is someone else and asks for Giran. The voice answers with 'check the news'. Mr. Compress uses his own phone to do that, where they see the news talk about the mysterious appearance of five severed fingers of a hand and five pieces of clothing in five different location. Mr. Compress notes that all the locations are where the League has been.

The League of Villains check the news

Re-Destro informs the League of the intentions of the Meta Liberation Army.

The voice on the phone introduces itself as the Grand Commander of the Meta Liberation Army, Re-Destro. He reports that they are holding Giran hostage and that the MLA's goals are dismantling the current society and rebuild a new one where everyone can use their abilities as they see fit. Mr. Compress comments that he doesn't see why they should oppose the Army.

Re-Destro explains that he has an army of over 100,000 soldiers, and he wants the revolution to be led by the Meta Liberation Army, but the League's popularity is interfering. That is why he challenges them to confront them in Deika City, since their only other option is to confront a large force of heroes when he gives their location, as the MLA have already located them with their satellite.[21] With no other options, Tomura accepts Re-Destro challenge.

Deika City

The League of Villains arrive at Deika City.

Mr. Compress suggests they should use the High-End Nomu that Dabi was testing, proclaiming that he is a jack-of-all-trades. The Doctor, however, declines the request stating that the other High-End Nomu aren't in the testing stage yet. He then asks Tomura why he turned to the Doctor at all if he won't help them, but Tomura asks him how much time it takes for Gigantomachia wakes up, who replies that it would be two hours and thirty-five minutes. Tomura reveals his plan is to lure Gigantomachia over to the city so that he and the Army can fight each other, so they can take the win from them.[22]

Later, when they arrive on the outskirts of Deika City, the League encounters the approaching Pro Hero Slidin' Go, who takes them into the city to meet the Meta Liberation Army. He replies that nobody is there, and Slidin' Go says to them that the city is not under his jurisdiction and that the day is special.

League of Villains vs

Mr. Compress and the rest of the League struggle against the Meta Liberation Army.

Suddenly, two of the Meta Liberation Executives appear and the man welcomes them to the city. He explains that 90% of the city's population are loyal warriors of the liberation cause. He snaps his fingers and declares that the Revival Celebration has begun. Compress recognizes the man as Koku Hanabata and answers Spinner's question whether he's someone powerful, saying that he's the leader of Hearts and Minds party and a person who'd easily have 100,000 followers. The Liberation Warriors then engage the League.[23]

As the battle continues, Spinner asks Compress how much remaining time it would take for Gigantomachia to wake up and he replies that it would be one hour and twenty minutes. He also sees that Koku is in an election van rallying people to his cause like a religious bishop. Sometime later, Koku reports that Curious has been killed by Himiko.[24] As Dabi and Geten's powers of fire and ice collide, he proclaims that he should show some moderation. He then thinks to himself that the League of Villains have split up into different groups.[25]

Atsuhiro struggles against MLA warriors

Mr. Compress asks Dabi for some help.

The liberation warriors start overwhelming Mr. Compress and he asks the boasting Dabi for help, but he denies, asking why should he help. Compress yells to him that he is lacking in compassion, but Dabi simply tells him that he should ask the oncoming wave of Twice clones. The Doubles proceed to flood the area, protecting Compress from the Army.

Mr. Compress asks how Twice overcame his trauma, to which he replies by claiming it was the power of love and courage. Compress says it sounds like something a hero would do, but Twice says that the League are his only friends, so he cares about them nevertheless. Twice suggests doubling Dabi and Mr. Compress, but he tells him that without the fodder to fight Gigantomachia there will be no way to tame him. Twice asks him how much time there's left until Gigantomachia wakes up and Compress says that they have one hour and five minutes.

Mr

Mr. Compress shocked to see so many Twices.

Suddenly, a wall of ice appears and annihilates many of Twice's clones, leaving Compress in shock that Geten would sacrifice his own soldiers just to get Twice out of the way. He then wishes Gigantomachia could wake up sooner, just as the Doctor orders the giant to wake up.[26]

Gigantomachia finally reaches Deika and he brushes off the Army's warriors' attacks, destroying everything in his path. Mr. Compress shouts to Dabi that they underestimated Gigantomachia and for all this time he was only toying with them, not fighting. He says that he is unstoppable and wants Dabi to go and help Tomura.[27]

Mr

Mr. Compress asks Daruma to get them out of there.

Mr. Compress asks himself why Gigantomachia had woken up so early, and that if he and rest of the League clash against him they would be done for. He immediately contacts the Doctor so that they can warp them out of Deika City, saying that he is too much and that they are going to die.

The Doctor refuses their help, thinking that they are going to get his little Johnny killed from his tonsils, but he proclaims that he is lying, and that he has been using it like crazy. He then questions him if he is going to leave Tomura to die and that he is All For One's successor, but the Doctor responds that it's exactly the reason why he needs to be pushed into a corner.[28]

The Paranormal Liberation Front (Anime)

Mr. Compress introduced as a lieutenant of the alliance.

Tomura, however, unlocks the full potential of his Quirk and decays everything in a wide radius, prompting Re-Destro to flee. However, the Grand Commander falls to the ground and cuts off his legs to stop the Decay. Once Re-Destro was defeated, he bestowed control of the army to Tomura. A week later, Mr. Compress is eating sushi with his comrades after the battle. Mr. Compress is pleased with this, as Dabi remarks that he did not do anything, but Mr. sarcastically acknowledges it and brushes it off, saying that he was amazing at running away.

Compress and the rest of the League came on stage in their new base when Tomura announced the Meta Liberation Army and League of Villains will merge and form the Paranormal Liberation Front (which Spinner and Re-Destro coined together), becoming one of its nine Lieutenants. After the speech, he sees Tomura collapse from his injuries, something that he remarks isn't surprising. Compress considers the fact that he's alive despite his injuries a miracle. Tomura asks for more power and Compress realizes he is talking to Dr. Ujiko.[29]

My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising[]

Mr

Mr. Compress uses his Quirk to crash the pursuing car.

At some point after the clash, Tomura and his allies are requested by the Doctor to transport one of his projects to a certain place. The League questions him what it is about but Ujiko simply tells them it has nothing to do with them. With that being said, Mr. Compress, Spinner, and Dabi are assigned to do the task. Although they dislike being treated like regular deliverymen, the three agree to do Ujiko's request, albeit sending Twice Doubles of them to accomplish the task.

On one late winter night, the League uses an armored truck to transfer the cargo while fleeing from a group of pursuing Pro Heroes on night duty. The League of Villains tries to flee as fast as possible while trying to get rid of their pursuers. Emerging from a truck hatch, Mr. Compress throws three marbles onto the road, releasing several barriers that cause one of the cars that is chasing them to crash.

Compress discusses the fate of the truck

Compress adds his comment on what happened to the truck.

Although they successfully blocked off their pursuers, the villains suspect that there must have been a leak of information about their operation. At the end of a turn, they find out that there is roadblock guarded by another team of Heroes lead by Endeavor. The villains try to kill him, but Endeavor easily defeats them with his Prominence Burn, which engulfs the truck in a burst of flames. The Doubles melt into piles of sludge, as the burning truck rolls off the road and falls down the ravine, crashing at a nearby forest, which was later revealed to be exactly where Ujiko wanted them to drop off the cargo.

A few days later, the League of Villains are talking at a rundown shack in the middle of nowhere. They discuss the fate of the cargo they transported, as no one knows what was inside other than Tomura, who tells them that it's a personal project of the Doctor and that they should not meddle in the matter.[30]

Endeavor Agency Arc[]

Commanders of the newly formed PLF check Hawks' report

Checking Hawks' report.

Sometime later, Mr. Compress and the other lieutenants are present at Hawks' report of how Endeavor has taken on more interns. Compress expresses interest in Endeavor's decision to take on three interns instead of just one. Afterward, the lieutenants discuss the upcoming goal of the Army that would take four months to put in motion. Himiko notes that Tomura will destroy everything after he gets a grip on his abilities.[31]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]

As two months pass, Mr. Compress is assigned as a commander for the "Vanguard Action Support: Brown" team along with Spinner.[32] He was with Spinner and Himiko when the Heroes launch their attack on the Gunga Mountain Villa. Compress and the other lieutenants are first unaware of the raid, that is upon noticing the Gunga Mountain Villa mansion splitting apart via Cementoss' Quirk.[33]

Himiko and Compress are captured by Eel Boy

Himiko and Compress are captured by a hero.

The Paranormal Liberation Front lieutenants then decide to evacuate their subordinates and instead send their lower-ranked advisers to fight the oncoming storm. However, Himiko and Mr. Compress are forced to flee as well due to the building collapsing rapidly and the fact they were not prepared for this attack.[34]

The two end up getting ambushed by Eel Boy, who captures both of them using his Eel Quirk. Compress realizes that the eels must have sensory capabilities since they got past Himiko's stealth. Eel Boy prepares to arrest the villains by having his Quirk swallow them up. However, his attempt is foiled by the timely arrival of Twice, who brutally stabs Eel Boy to death with a knife. Compress believes that with Twice with them, the villains will have the upper hand in this war.

Dabi and Mr

Compress and Dabi talk about Twice's death.

Compress and Himiko are about to head down to the bunker, only to notice that the Twice that saved them is a double. Twice's double reveals that Hawks has betrayed them and apologizes for being so trusting. The clone also reveals that the original Twice has perished. Compress and Himiko realize the situation as the clone begins to fade away. Himiko then embraces the clone, thanking Twice for saving her for one last time. With those final words, Compress and Himiko mourn over the loss of their dear friend as the clone melts away.[35]

Enraged by Twice's death, Himiko decides to kill as many heroes as she can in revenge. Mr. Compress tries to make her see reason, but despite his best efforts to stop her, Himiko goes out to confront the heroes. He stays seated by a balcony railing, observing the fight below, as Dabi meets up with him. Dabi asks where the others are while Mr. Compress yells where he was the whole time since he is a lieutenant. Mr. Compress tells Dabi that the Heroes won't be able to function with a surprise attack, and Dabi asks if Mr. Compress intends to run away. Mr. Compress informs him that Himiko ran out onto the battlefield. They both then observe Himiko's killing spree of heroes.[36]

Mr

Mr. Compress takes down one of those pesky heroes chasing them.

At Jaku General Hospital, Tomura wakes up and orders Gigantomachia to bring the League's members back to him.[37] Gigantomachia breaks through the floor and grabs the surprised Compress to put him on his back. When he sees that Spinner is there too, he asks him what's going on, but Spinner replies that he was underground when the giant started moving, taking him to the surface. Himiko is also on Gigantomachia's back, completely naked, so a flustered Compress quickly gives her clothes to get dressed. Dabi deduces that Tomura has been awakened and decides to take Skeptic with them. Gigantomachia immediately heads for Tomura's position, with the villains riding on his back.[38]

Various heroes try to stop them but fail. Midnight and Kamui Woods then try to make Gigantomachia fall asleep with Midnight's Quirk, however, Dabi engulfs the two in a wave of blue fire, giving a careless expression. Mr. Compress then notices that Midnight's still getting close to Gigantomachia's face, so he throws a few marbles, which turn into debris, sending her to the ground. He scolds Dabi for his carelessness, leaving him with an unamused face.[39]

Compress reveals his upgraded prosthetic hand

Mr. Compress uses his prosthetic arm to prevent the students from attacking the League.

Gigantomachia continues with his run towards Tomura, when he falls into a trap set by the U.A. students. The students' plan is to make Gigantomachia swallow at least one vial filled with a powerful sedative, so while some students decide to assault the giant to throw the vials into his mouth, others attack the Paranormal lieutenants who are on his back to prevent them from intervening.

Chargebolt covers the Villains with his discs at a distance they won't hurt his other friends present, but because Emily fired him at a bad angle, he gets hit with debris from Mr. Compress that he shot out of his prosthetic. The students manage to pin Gigantomachia down and Spinner, seeing this, suggests going underground, although Mr. reminds him that doing so would definitely kill them. Suddenly, the heroes swarm Gigantomachia's back.[40]

Mr

Compress notices Himiko is deep in thought about Twice's death.

Gigantomachia stands up, sending the heroes falling to their death, and realizes he should take out the heroes before he goes to Jaku. He then is attacked by the heroes flying on Majestic's rings, after Red Riot threw the jar with the sedative into his mouth. Gigantomachia defeats all the heroes and starts running towards Tomura's location, with the lieutenants on his back, as the rest of the PLF follows behind.[41]

Gigantomachia destroys everything in his path, knocking down buildings and razing the streets of the cities he passes through.[42] As he reaches Nabato City, Mr. notices Himiko looking over the edge of the giant and deduces she is looking for Deku and Uravity because she loves them. Himiko asks Mr. Compress where do Heroes draw the line, because if Heroes are supposed to save people, was Twice not a person in Hawks' eyes?[43]

Skeptic working on his laptop

Compress is impressed by Skeptic's computer skills.

The Heroes, however, start regrouping and Skeptic notices that using his Satellite Image. Atsuhiro comments on how handy such an image is, while Skeptic responds with how Mr. lacks sophistication. Tomoyasu says that there are not as many heroes as at the villa, but still a formidable number. He starts forming a strategy to counter them, but Mr. Compress tells him to zoom in on Uravity and Froppy, which catches Himiko's attention. She goes to Mr. for her gear and rushes towards them, making Mr. regret spotting the girls.

Mr. Compress continues to dissuade her and even asks Dabi for help, but he dismisses it and instead tells Skeptic to ready himself, which irritates him. Spinner finally speaks up and tells Himiko that he believes himself and the others to be nothing and that they are strays that just happened to find one another, so she isn't the only one upset about Twice's death.[44]

Mr

Compress is surprised by Dabi's true identity.

When Gigantomachia finally arrives at the battlefield, he saves Tomura from certain death and Dabi starts revealing his past, how Endeavor abused him and drove him to the path of villainy, while Mr. watches from Gigantomachia's back.[45] Mr. Compress is surprised to hear that, as Dabi hasn't shared this information with anyone within the League, while remarking that Dabi is another person with quite the bloodline.[46]

Suddenly, Best Jeanist descends from the sky and wraps the League and Gigantomachia in his wires. Mr. Compress is surprised even Gigantomachia is pinned down, while Spinner says even he has limited stamina. However, Tomura wakes up and orders the giant to fight back, which makes him start tearing up the fibers. Jeanist uses all his might to try and keep the behemoth in place.

Mr Compress, Spinner and Tomura are tied up

Best Jeanist has almost every member of the League caught in his wires.

Suddenly four of the Near High-End Nomu approach the battleground, hoping to distract the hero. Mr. Compress says to Spinner that luck is on their side after all, but suddenly Lemillion appears from the ground and knocks back the Nomu.[47] However, the Nomu retaliate and are about to maul Best Jeanist. Before they can do this, the Heroes engage them in battle.

As this is happening, Bakugo reveals his hero name "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight", which Mr. Compress finds rather tacky. Suddenly, Gigantomachia starts suffering the effects of the sedative, which was force-fed earlier, and starts falling asleep.[48] This gives Best Jeanist a moment to concentrate on subduing the League.

Blackout Bind

Compress, Spinner, and Tomura are strangled by Best Jeanist.

Atsuhiro monologues about how none of the League's members has fulfilled their dreams yet and how Shigaraki is the key to doing this. Suddenly, Best Jeanist attempts to knock them out using his fibres. Seeing no other option, Mr. Compress tells Spinner that he's always loved the League and orders him to wake Tomura up in the next five seconds, as he grabs his right lumbar region and compresses it.

By injuring himself, Mr. Compress gave himself an opportunity to escape the restraints. He compresses Spinner and Tomura and begins to make his way to the top of Gigantomachia. Best Jeanist attempts to subdue him using his own clothes, but Atsuhiro compresses other parts of his body, along with his clothes. He encounters Skeptic, as he pleads for rescue as well, which Atsuhiro does. Dabi, meanwhile, defeats his brother but lets him live and approaches Mr. Compress to get compressed as well.

Mr

Mr. Compress about to release his allies for the "final performance".

After thinking about his ancestor Oji Harima, and the values that his family instilled in him, Mr. Compress declares that he is the great-great-grandson of Oji Harima, thinking about how he will hand off his family's desire for reformation for his boss, Tomura, to achieve, and that he will change the world in his stead. Atsuhiro then gets on top of the behemoth and, throwing off his mask, he cries that he has saved his best trick for last, as the "first and final escape artist performance of Mr. Compress", decompressing Spinner and Tomura right in front of Lemillion.[1]

Right after that, Compress charges right at Lemillion, hoping to buy Spinner some time. He monologues about how he had hoped to use his maimed butt on them. He thinks to himself how he noticed earlier that the mass of Near High-End Nomu moving on Tomura's command, and that if they can wake up him he can call them all toward them and turn the tide of battle. Keeping Lemillion busy, he entrusts Spinner with the role of regaining Tomura's consciousness, while hiding the compressed Dabi and Skeptic within his scarf, reasoning that Spinner is the most devoted to Tomura. Spinner finds the burnt remains of Tomura's grandmother's hand in his pocket, which he then places on his leader's face right as Lemillion and Best Jeanist's cables are about to grab them.

Mirio defeats Mr

Compress is knocked out by Lemillion.

Tomura finally awakens and uses Radio Waves to blow Lemillion, the cables, and all the other fighting heroes away, while the Near High-Ends turn to face Tomura. However, it turns out All For One is in command of Tomura's body. All For One proceeds to order the Nomu to grab ahold of him and Spinner to make their getaway. Spinner tries to question Tomura about leaving Mr. Compress and Gigantomachia behind, as well as Himiko Toga who hasn't returned yet, but All For One tells him that Tomura has been defeated by One For All and Endeavor, so he must pay for that for All For One's sake.[49] After the battle, Mr. Compress is taken into police custody and has his wounds treated.[50]

Final War Arc[]

Chapter 387

Geten and Mr. Compress speak to each other while being confined in their own prison.

Mr. Compress eventually recovered from his injuries and was locked up in a holding facility, neighbor to Geten. They learn that despite many of their forces' capture, All For One had managed to escape Tartarus, breaking into several more maximum security prisons and liberated the inmates, which attributed to Japan entering a state of chaos. After about a month of preparation, the Heroes and Villains enter an all-out Final War to determine the fate of Japan.

Sometime during the events of the War, Geten speaks to Mr. Compress in order to pass the time by explaining to him about his family bloodline, the Himuras. He explains about their elitist, prejudiced ways and their intentions to keep their bloodline pure, causing Compress to remark what Spinner would say hearing about a "snobbish bloodline prejudiced against heteromorphs".

Geten continued to explain how there were branch families established, and this resulted in many marriages between these distant relatives, which Compress remarks about Geten means that Himura blood "runs thick", however this resulted in the clan dwindling overtime. By the time the head of the family started selling off the children into marriages, it led to the remaining families scattering with Geten being one of them until Re-Destro recruited him. He states how Meta Abilities grow more complex with each generation, with new powers lying dormant in the user's body, while people's hearts never managed to evolve, wondering what changes they will witness. He concludes asking Compress if he heard anything from the Police or Heroes, since there's nothing left to do but kill time until the War is over.[51]
