The Great Ameld River ｢アメルド大河, amerudo taiga｣ is a large river network that flows all the way from the base of the Great Canaat Mountains into the southern ocean.

The Great Ameld River divides the west and east sides of the Great Jura Forest, dividing the portion of the forest governed by the dryads from the portion that isn't.[1] It runs all the way from its source at the base of the Great Canaat Mountains[2] in the north before opening up into two distinct tributaries near the center of the forest which both drain into the ocean to the south-east.[3] It has several large reservoirs located along its path, the most notable of them being the home of the lizardmen, Lake Siss. The river itself is also home to a large population of merfolk, though their territory is frequently assaulted by deadly river monsters.[4]
The river is the source of water that feeds not only the rich plant-life of the Jura Forest, but also the fertile plains that make up Milim Nava's territory on the southern edge of the continent.[3]
