Apito ｢アピト, apito｣ is an Insectar that is in service to Rimuru Tempest. She was originally an injured Insect that Rimuru found in the Great Jura Forest, tasked with guarding the Treants' settlement upon being taken in along with Zegion. She serves as the Guardian of the 80th floor of the Dungeon.

Apito's original appearance as a Queen wasp Insect. In this state, she had the appearance of an extremely large black and yellow wasp over 30cm in length and 30cm in height.
Insectar[]
By the time of the Imperial Invasion, Apito had entered into a cocoon of evolution and emerged in an Insectar state. In this form, she has an overall humanoid figure and a face extremely close to that of a Human. Her entire body except for her face is covered in a mixture of black and yellow cilia hairs as well as a metallic white exoskeleton. She has wasp wings growing from her back and an exoskeleton helmet with two antennae that gives her an appearance of wearing armor. Her body is very feminine and has a voluptuous shape, as well as a large wasp abdomen with a stinger emerging from her posterior.
Star wasp[]
After the Artificial Harvest Festival of Zegion, the resulting evolution was enough to push Apito to new heights and she awakened to become a Star wasp. In this form her previously white exoskeleton has become a dark black, showcasing its evolution into Adamantite. Her wings and compound eyes both changed color to shining blue (the same color as a morpho butterfly's wings). The color of her cilia also changed to gold and silver. Though her basic shape has remained the same, the other changes give her an alluring and mystical charm that feels otherworldly.

Background[]
Apito was born from Peliod alongside Zegion in the the otherworld to fill in the remaining vacant spots in the Twelve Insect Generals. However, Zess, wary of their potential, eventually attacked them, forcing the pair to flee to the Central World.
Found heavily injured by Rimuru near a dead Blade tiger along with Zegion. Sensing Rimuru's strength and his intention to help them, she stopped Zegion from attacking Rimuru recklessly and asked Rimuru for protection. Due to her injuries, Rimuru patched her up with his own Slime body to aid the healing process and replaced her missing exoskeleton parts with processed Magisteel. Later, she was named and tasked to collect nectar at the treants' settlement by Rimuru and regularly delivering it to him.
