Creative Royale was a feature in Fortnite: Creative. It allowed creators to create their own rules on the Battle Royale island.

Overview[]

Creative Royale was the successor to Battle Lab. Introduced in Update v22.30, it allows you to customize the Battle Royale Island with a select group of pre-existing and unique devices, such as the Melee Designer (which allows for the creation of custom melee weapon) and the Team Settings & Inventory (which allows you to assign unique settings to different team members).

Creative Royale was accessed in the same way as a normal Creative island. To make a new Creative Royale island, select the Battle Royale Island template island.

Late Game Arena and Big Battle are two official modes created in Creative Royale.

Restrictions[]

The Creative Royale island updates alongside Battle Royale Island. Because of this, players cannot place any props or builds on the island, and only certain devices can be placed (usually ones that can remotely control gameplay).

Additionally, many features are completely unavailable in Creative Royale, such as Mud, Rift Encounters, Characters, and more.

Some items do not spawn or drop properly in Creative Royale, such as Keycards, rendering features like Vaults inaccessible. Additionally, some items that are not in the creative menu normally such as Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Jug or Midas’ Drum Gun will completely disappear if dropped from the player inventory.

Bars are replaced with Gold in Creative Royale. However, some features, such as Rerolling Augments, were not updated to be compatible with gold and are thus unusable.

Loot Pool Options[]

On top of Customizing the Loot Pool, you can also customize the spawn rate of each type of container, including Chests, Ammo Boxes, and Produce Boxes.

Island Options[]

Creative Royale allows you to Customize Island Settings. As well as having the Default Options, it also has a few bonus options, including:

Strategy[]

This section outlines a strategy.
Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.

Here are some tips to consider when creating an island in Creative Royale:

  • You can create a custom loot pool by setting the loot pool to "none" and then use supply drops or some other mechanic (such as destroying props) to drop your loot. Setting loot to "none" and using item granters does not work as chests will become unsearchable.

Chapter 4: Season 1[]

  • Update v23.20: Added the Accolade and Switch Devices to Creative Royale.

Chapter 4: Season 2[]

Trivia[]

  • Quests could not be completed in Creative Royale.
    • However, players could have used the Tracker and Accolades devices to make their own quests.
  • Support-a-Creator monetization was disabled on Creative Royale Islands, due to the Battle Royale Island being Epic Games' IP.
