A skirmish broke out on an the moon of Drazkel[5] in 33 BBY[4] following the auction of the Jedi Padawan Eldra Kaitis. The auction, hosted by the Xrexus Cartel at a space station orbiting the moon, drew the attendance of several major criminal organizations, including the Pyke Syndicate, several Moogans, and the Ohnaka Gang. However, it also drew the attention of the Sith apprentice Darth Maul. Working with the bounty hunter Cad Bane and his Cad Bane's group, Maul plotted to kill Kaitis, wanting to satiate his thirst for Jedi.[6]
The skirmish commenced following the auction. Although the Moogan Jee Kra had won the auction, Kra was killed by Maul. Kaitis fled, causing a hunt to begin. Many droids, assassins, and other bounty hunters pursued Kaitis, and while Maul initially defended her from them, he then dueled Kaitis, slaying her in lightsaber combat.[1]
