Grendrek was a Nameless male owned by the Nihil scientist Niv Drendow Apruk during the High Republic Era. He was born from an egg that had been recovered by Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro during a mission to Planet X.[2] In 229 BBY,[1] Grendrek was kiled when he was eaten by a seevi worm during a raid on the Elite-class vessel Innovator.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Grendrek appeared in Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase III.[4] Grendrek was originally called Deblindrix, but was later changed. However, Older mentioned in an interview that the Nameless Deblindrix III—Apruk's next creature—took on that name instead.[5]
