Bernie Hayes[]

Though he was unfamiliar with the conspiracy theorist initially, Trapper gradually came to warm up to Bernie, helping guide him through the Hollow Earth's landscape, which Bernie is awed by. Trapper also inspired Bernie in keeping the existence of the Iwi in Malenka a secret, since many indigenous tribes lost their ways of life after becoming exposed to the outside world.

History[]

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire[]

Trapper first appears when Kong arrives to the surface with an infected tooth, seeking help. He was more than happy to oblige with treating the giant ape, and soon got to work replacing the infected canine with a metallic one. As Kong recovers and prepares to return to the Hollow Earth, Trapper and Dr. Andrews make preparations to embark for the same destination, as they intend to investigate a mysterious unidentified signal emanating from the Hollow Earth. Bernie Hayes requests to join them, and although harshly rebuffed by Mikael, Trapper relents and allows Bernie to join them.

Eventually, the group discover the destroyed remains of their Monarch outpost, along with a mysterious handprint left behind on the debris. When they venture further in, they discover a temple which leads them to a surviving Iwi tribe within the Hollow Earth, and they learn that the signal was actually a telepathic distress call sent by the tribe. They soon learn of the Skar King and Shimo, and his quest to conquer the surface world. Afterwards, they encounter an injured Kong, who's accompanied by Suko. Trapper is able to diagnose that Kong's right arm had been severely frostbitten, and instead of regular medical treatment, Trapper proposes to proceed with Project Powerhouse, to aid Kong.

Upon Kong acquiring the B.E.A.S.T Glove, the giant ape recovers from his wounds, and then warns the humans of the incoming threat of the Skar King and his army, before he heads out to seek Godzilla's help from the surface. The team, including Trapper, are worried as Kong's presence on the surface world is likely to incur Godzilla's wrath--which becomes reality, as Godzilla almost kills Kong in Egypt, only being stopped due to Mothra's intervention. The team soon makes their move to disembark for the surface, just as Godzilla and Kong arrive in the Hollow Earth and clash with Skar King and Shimo. Their battle takes them to Rio de Janeiro, where Skar King orders Shimo to begin a new ice age. The factions are evenly matched until Suko destroys the crystal used to control Shimo, and Skar King is swiftly killed by Kong.

Afterwards, Trapper soon returns to the surface with Dr. Andrews, who is delighted to learn the Jia had chosen to remain with her rather than staying in the Hollow Earth.
