Gojipedia rights request is a process by which the community decides on which users are trusted to become members of staff based on their qualifications, performance, and overall contributions to the wiki.

Requirements[]

Staff members are selected through a review of their contributions and activity on the wiki. Before applying for a staff position, take a look at where your edits lie (we prefer that staff members have at least 100 edits). This also applies to supporting or opposing to a user's request: if the candidate is lacking constructive edits or their edits are within a different field than the one they're applying for, they are not cut out for the job.

Your request for promotion will be rejected immediately if you do not meet the requirements for staff and/or have been blocked from Gojipedia in the past. Actions on another wiki is on a case-by-case basis. For instance, inappropriate behavior and causing trouble on other wikis may result in earlier punishments here. However, being banned from another wiki under the pretense of trouble when one's intentions weren't malicious are excluded as evidence.

For a full list of the necessary requirements to become a staff member, see here.

Request process[]

  1. The candidate submits the request in Discussions in the following format. Fill in the individual parameters of the form:
    1. What is your username? [Username]
    2. What kind of user rights do you want to get? [Requested right]
    3. How many edits have you made on the wiki? [Number of edits]
    4. How many days/months have you been editing here? [Days or months of activity on wiki]
    5. Comments/reason for request [Summary of why you want to the position]
    6. @Project Predacon or @Gallibon the Destroyer or @Nightsilver
  2. Users in the community will have a period of time to support, oppose, or remain neutral to a user's request. Votes from users who do not have an active participation in the community will not be taken into account.
  3. After a week has been passed, voting will end. If the request has at least +8 supportive votes, or more supportive votes than opposing votes, it is qualified for a second round of voting among the admins. If not, the request is denied.
    1. If the request is qualified, it will go through admin voting. Admins will submit their votes via the same post in Discussions, or anonymously among themselves. The request needs a simple majority of the voting admins to be approved. If there are enough admins to vote, or the admins do not respond, the vote will remain open for one more week.
  4. If the majority of the voting admins and community staff support the candidate, a bureaucrat or admin will promote the user to a staff member.
  5. If the request does not follow the format above, it will be rejected.

Submit a request[]

To submit a request, post it in the admin noticeboard with the title "Rights request: [Right]" with the preferred right provided.
