Antarctica is the least populated and coldest continent on Earth. It is featured in the Toho Godzilla film Godzilla: Final Wars, and made appearances in other films of the series, including the MonsterVerse.

Godzilla: Final Wars
In the 1960's the Gotengo engaged Godzilla in Antarctica. Godzilla shot down the ship with his atomic breath and prepared to destroy it once and for all. A crew member, Douglas Gordon, fired a barrage of missiles that created an opening in the ice shelf, causing Godzilla to fall into it. The Gotengo then blasted a nearby mountainside, causing Godzilla to be buried deep underneath tons of ice. Area G was established in Antarctica to contain Godzilla, and was where the King of the Monsters remained dormant for decades.
In 20XX, when the Xiliens launched their full-scale invasion of Earth, the remaining members of the Earth Defense Force, led by Gordon, brought the Gotengo to Antarctica to free Godzilla in a desperate attempt to defeat the Xiliens' army of monsters. When X learned about this plan, he sent Gigan to destroy the Gotengo. Gigan attacked the ship, but was unable to stop it from firing a missile and freeing Godzilla from the ice. Godzilla emerged and battled Gigan, blasting the cyborg's head off with his atomic breath. Believing his battle with the Gotengo was still going on, Godzilla followed the ship out of Antarctica and traveled around the world, defeating the Xiliens' mind-controlled monsters one by one.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Ghidorah was frozen in ice in the Scott Mountains[1] of Antarctica for thousands of years, after a prehistoric duel with Godzilla which ended with the latter defeating him and casting him into icy waters[2]. Monarch discovered Ghidorah via satellite, and in 2016, a task force led by Dr. Vivienne Graham set up Outpost 32 around the frozen creature.[3]
In 2019, Alan Jonah and his mercenaries arrived at Outpost 32 with Emma and Madison Russell, and conquered it by massacring all the staff, then set about releasing Ghidorah. Monarch meanwhile, flew into Antarctica and toward the outpost after guessing Godzilla was sensing troubling activity with Ghidorah, launching an assault against Jonah's group. Jonah, Emma and Madison successfully escaped via Osprey, and successfully released Ghidorah using explosives and the ORCA, with the awakened Titan's presence immediately triggering an unnatural tempest. Godzilla arrived and engaged in a duel with Ghidorah, with the latter Titan killing most of the G-Team and Dr. Graham. When several military jets arrived and fired on Ghidorah, the latter promptly flew away and departed in the direction of South America, with Godzilla and the humans departing shortly afterward.
Godzilla vs. Kong
After a battle with Godzilla at the Tasman Sea, Monarch decide to use helicopters to transport an exhausted Kong to the Hollow Earth launch station located in Antarctica. Kong is initially reluctant to venture through the portal, but decides to do so after Jia convinced him that there might be more of his kind living in the Hollow Earth.

- In the MonsterVerse, Godzilla vs. Kong - The Official Movie Novelization states that the Vile Vortex to the Hollow Earth in Antarctica is located no more than a few miles away from the site where Ghidorah was originally frozen, and that the ice on the Vile Vortex is thirty-millions years old and older than the ice which Ghidorah was frozen in.
