Season 2, alternatively titled The Book of Carol, of AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will premiere on September 29, 2024, and conclude on November 3, 2024, consisting of 6 episodes. It is executive produced by showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman, Greg Nicotero, and Steve Squillante.

Plot[]

This season picks up where Season 1 left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest.

Filming[]

On April 6, 2023, stunt performer Frederic Guerin confirmed that production for the second season had begun in France.[2]

In August 2023, it was announced that AMC Networks had reached an interim agreement with SAG-AFTRA, allowing them to continue production on their ongoing shows during the strike, this included filming for Daryl Dixon and post-production for The Ones Who Live.[3]

On June 7, 2024, the season premiere date was revealed to be September 29, 2024.
