Marketplace Item Conditions - Trading Cards

Marketplace sellers must list the condition of the trading cards they’re selling on Walmart.com when they create a listing.

Items Listed as New

  • New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in the original packaging.
    • Must be factory sealed.

Items Listed as Open Box

  • Sealed/Boxed trading cards only. Excellent condition with no signs of usage and still in its original packaging or generic packaging.
    • Packaging can be open or show signs of wear.

Items Listed as Pre-Owned

  • Like New (Near Mint): Like new condition with little to no signs of wear (minor wear at corners or edges, minor surface indentations, minor scratches, no discoloration, no creases, no staining). 
    • The card has clean edges and corners, no scratches or creases, and no discoloration.
  • Like New (Excellent): These cards will have minor to moderate wear.
    • This may include rough edges with moderate chipping/indentations, moderate corner wear/dinged corners, moderate scratches, minor discoloration, minor surface wrinkles, or minor staining.
  • Very Good: Cards show moderate damage all over the card.
    • These cards have a moderate to major amount of discoloration, chipping, indentation, creases, or scratches.
    • There may also be a slight paper loss.
  • Fair (Poor): A card in this condition shows major signs of wear and may be missing corners.
    • These cards display flaws like torn edges, extreme discoloration, multiple major scratches, multiple creases, and/or stains.
