Edit or Cancel an Order

You can edit or request cancellation for most items and orders before shipment in Purchase history.

Edit Items in an Order 

You can edit your pickup and delivery orders up to 3 hours and 15 minutes before your scheduled timeslot begins. You can edit any other orders for items sold by Walmart while they’re being prepared.

During your edit window, you can:    

  • Add or remove items.
  • Increase or decrease quantities.
  • Allow or disallow substitutions.

To edit an item on your order for items sold by Walmart:

  1. Log into your Walmart.com account.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Select Purchase history.
  4. Select Edit items.

For items sold by Walmart, we may charge shipping, delivery, or pickup fees for orders under $35 and remove those fees if the total order value of the items sold by Walmart exceeds $35. Edits to your order may take the order total over or under the $35 threshold.

Make other changes to your order  

While your order for items sold by Walmart is being prepared, you can:  

  • Reschedule your timeslot
  • Choose a different store location
  • Edit your shipping address
  • Change your payment method

To reschedule an order: 

  1. Log into your Walmart.com account.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Select Purchase history.
  4. Find the order and select View details.
  5. Select Reschedule.
    • You can only reschedule an order once.

If there's a delay in your scheduled delivery, you might get a text message or push notification giving you the option to change your delivery order to a store pickup. You can choose a time slot within the next 24 hours from when the notification was received. If you choose to pick up your order, we'll refund the delivery fee and tip amount that was on your order.

Cancel your order 

To request an order cancellation:

  1. Log into your Walmart.com account.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Select Purchase history.
  4. Find the order you want to cancel.
  5. Scroll to the bottom and select Request Cancellation, if available.

Edit Options Unavailable

You might not have options to edit or cancel your order because:

  • Your order is on its way to you.
  • You ordered items from a Marketplace seller.
    • We are unable to cancel your Marketplace order.

If you can't edit or cancel your order, you can return most items. For more information, review the Walmart Return Policy, the Marketplace return policy, or Start a Return Online once you’ve received the item.
