A beat-up fighter was owned by the San Tekka clan member Cair San Tekka during the High Republic Era, which he kept on a dead moon in the Nihil pirates' Occlusion Zone region of space.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] when San Tekka visited the moon in his shuttle, the Brightbird, he left it on the moon's dark side and departed in the fighter. The ship had enough power to get San Tekka to the Chommell sector and to transmit the correct codes to prevent himself from being attacked by Nihil scav droids. San Teka then made his way to a colony on[1] the planet[3] Jafan in the sector, before leaving in a hauler. After eventually arriving on the planet Naboo, San Tekka mentally recalled his use of the fighter.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The fighter was mentioned in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
