"According to sources, a high-ranking Alliance chief is en route to the Perlemian. Planets such as Trasse, Durkteel, Jeyell, and Ord Tiddell have surfaced as potential sites for a rebel summit or the establishment of a new planet-based headquarters."
―A Cynabar's InfoNet report[1]

Trasse was a Mid Rim Territories planet, located in the Near Perlemian area, that fell under the control of the Rebel Alliance during its offensive into the Mid Rim, later being evacuated after the campaign collapsed due to the Galactic Empire's counterpush in 2 ABY. In 4 ABY, when rumors spread of an Alliance chief traveling to the Perlamian, Cynabar's InfoNet made a news report listing Trasse and three other Mid Rim worlds as potential sites of rebel activity.

Description[]

Trasse was a planet located within the Mid Rim Territories and in the Near Perlemian area.[1]

History[]

"With regret, I must report that the Mid Rim Offensive has collapsed around several flash points, necessitating the withdrawal of Alliance troops to better-fortified holdings."
―Carlist Rieekan, in a document addressed to Mon Mothma[1]

By the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, Trasse was under Imperial control.[1] Around 1 ABY,[2] the Alliance led an offensive into the Mid Rim, taking control of worlds like Trasse.[1] The offensive collapsed in 2 ABY[2] when the Empire began pushing back, which necessitated the withdrawal of Alliance troops to more fortified holdings. Trasse was subsequently set to be evacuated alongside the planets Charros IV, Durkteel, Jeyell, Ord Tiddell, and Pothor.[1]

The situation was summarized in a classified document written by General Carlist Rieekan for the Alliance's Commander-in-Chief Mon Mothma, where Trasse and the five other worlds were listed. The document was eventually collected by archivist Hendri Underholt for their archive of non-electronic documents known as The Rebel Files.[1]

In 4 ABY,[3] Underholt traveled to Durkteel as a decoy for Mothma. The plan was meant to divert Imperial attention away from the Alliance's preparations to attack the Empire's second Death Star battle station. When the Alliance leaked rumors of a high-ranking Alliance chief traveling to the Near Perlemian, a news report from Cynabar's InfoNet suggested Trasse—alongside Durkteel, Jeyell, and Ord Tiddell—as potential locations for a rebel summit or the establishment of a new Alliance headquarters. Underholt collected a copy of the report for The Rebel Files before they were killed when the Empire bombarded their position on Durkteel.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

In the current Star Wars canon, Trasse was mentioned in the 2017 reference book and boxed set Star Wars: The Rebel Files, written by Daniel Wallace.[1] Trasse originated as an asteroid in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was introduced in the 2000 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Force Commander.[4]
