Before the world's Republic Fair in 231 BBY, the Jedi younglings Kildo and Gavi climbed to one of the tree's branches to avoid training with their Jedi Masters and shared a sack of stonepeaches. In 229 BBY, the two boys talked about their time in the stonepeach tree when admitting their feelings for each other.

Stonepeach trees were a type of tree that grew on the Outer Rim planet Valo. The rough-barked trees were tall and featured thick-leaved branches bearing stonepeach fruit.[1]
History[]
Kildo and Gavi sat in a stonepeach tree in the Valo Temple before the Republic Fair.
During the High Republic Era, the Valo Temple on Valo had a large stonepeach tree on its grounds. One week before the world's Republic Fair,[1] in 231 BBY,[2] the Jedi younglings Kildo and Gavi climbed the tree to sit in one of its high branches, hoping to hide from the temple's Jedi Masters for the afternoon to avoid their training sessions. The pair shared a sack of stonepeaches between them, tossing the pits of the fruits to the ground below. Gavi briefly considered whether one would ever sprout into a stonepeach tree but then reminded himself that Jedi Master Helok would not allow such to happen due to caring about the Valo Temple's grounds remaining clean.[1]
While enjoying their time in the tree, Gavi and Kildo discussed their upcoming tournament, which would likely result in them becoming Padawans. Gavi and Kildo continued sharing stonepeaches, with the former using the Force to levitate them, swinging one around the tree's branch frivolously. As Gavi moved to descend the tree's trunk, he touched its bark and felt the life in it through the Force.[1] In 229 BBY,[3] Gavi mentioned the time he and Kildo spent sitting in the tree when the pair admitted their feelings for one another.[1]

A stonepeach tree appeared in a flashback in Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]
