Stonepeaches were a type of peach edible by Alcedians and humans. One week before the Republic Fair on the Outer Rim planet Valo, the Jedi younglings Gavi and Kildo sat in the Valo Temple's stonepeach tree and enjoyed a sack of the fruits. The pair threw several of the peach pits to the ground, and the former youngling used the Force to levitate one of them.
Description[]
Stonepeaches were a type of sweet-tasting white peach fruit consumable by Alcedians and humans. The fruits could be harvested from stonepeach trees and grown from pits in the peaches' centers.[1]
History[]
Kildo and Gavi enjoyed stonepeaches on Valo.
During the High Republic Era, a large stonepeach tree bearing the fruits grew on the grounds of the Valo Temple on the Outer Rim planet Valo. One week before the world's Republic Fair,[1] in 231 BBY,[2] the Jedi younglings Gavi and Kildo sat in a stonepeach tree in the temple to avoid training with their Jedi Masters. The pair shared a sack of the peaches as they sat in a branch, high above the ground to avoid detection and enjoy their afternoon.[1]
The younglings tossed several pits of the fruits to the ground below, leading Gavi to wonder if one would ever sprout into a stonepeach tree. However, he ultimately reflected that Jedi Master Helok would not allow such to happen due to caring about the Valo Temple's grounds remaining clean. As the pair conversed about their upcoming tournament to become Padawans, Kildo tossed one of the fruits' pits into a rosebush. Gavi and Kildo continued sharing stonepeaches, with the former using the Force to levitate them.[1] In 229 BBY,[3] the two boys discussed their time sitting in the stonepeach tree when admitting their feelings for each other.[1]

Stonepeaches appeared in a flashback in Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]
