The Trymant system was an Outer Rim Territories^[1] binary star system^[5] which contained the planet Trymant IV^[1] and several moons, including Korbatal.^[6] Other celestial bodies in the system included Ost Molkar, Taz Molkar, and Trymant III.^[7] Also located in the Western Reaches,^[3] the Trymant system was affected by an Emergence of the Great Hyperspace Disaster, which caused the ecological devastation of Trymant IV^[5] and destroyed Korbatal and several other moons.^[6]

Behind the scenes[]

Created for the Star Wars: The High Republic publishing initiative,^[1] the Trymant system was first mentioned in the short story "STET!," written by Daniel José Older and published in the collection From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back in 2020.^[6] It later appeared in the comic The High Republic Adventures (2021) 1, written by Older, illustrated by Harvey Tolibao, and published by IDW Publishing^[1] on February 3, 2021.^[8]

In a preview of The High Republic Adventures 1 released in The High Republic Free Digital Sampler, the system was on one instance mentioned by the name "Trymantian system,"^[9] but the final comic adjusted the mention to use "Trymant."^[1]
