Teenar was a human senator in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Senate.[1] In 5 BBY,[2] a rebel heist on[1] the planet[3] Aldhani prompted Galactic Emperor[1] Sheev Palpatine[4] to introduce the Public Order Resentencing Directive. Shortly after the new legislation was introduced, Teenar attended a party at[1] the planet[4] Coruscant's Chandrilan Embassy where the Chandrilan Senator Mon Mothma attempted to gain votes against the directive.[1]
At the embassy, Teenar spoke with Mothma, Senators Vivyn and Dhow, and the guest Slorda about the directive. Believing that the Empire had introduced unlimited surveillance and prosecutions, Teenar suggested Slorda calling Palpatine frustrating, overreactive, and easily provoked was an understatement and scoffed when Vivyn suggested they lived in dangerous times. Teenar had tan skin, brown eyes, and gray hair. The senator wore a set of brown and yellow robes and a matching hat to the party.[1]

Teenar was portrayed by Anil Goutam in "Narkina 5," the eighth episode of the first season of the live-action series Andor,[1] which was aired on October 26, 2022.[5] The character's name is not spoken in the episode but is given in the subtitles and credits.[1]
