Hello everyone!

I am a huge fan of Ventress' character and her portrayal in The Clone Wars. The newly specified canon has thankfully allowed for Ventress to have a header photo that depicts her TCW appearance. However, I am hoping it can be changed to some picture of her in her Bounty Hunter gear. Twice now, I have attempted to make her image from the cover of the newly announced novel the header photo for the canon portion of her page but it has been removed both times. Can someone tell me how to get it to stay? I think it represents her better than the current picture from Season Three (she has also spent more screen-time in her Bounty Hunter gear than her Nightsister garb). Thanks in advance.

SavageBane (talk) 00:53, July 31, 2014 (UTC)

I would not use her image from the cover as the header photo. I believe that the current pic is more representative of the character over the shows entire tenure, rather than her tail end appearances. Until you find a good enough picture of her in her bounty hunter gear, I would recommend keeping it the same.AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 17:40, August 1, 2014 (UTC)

What about the picture of Ventress in the alley before getting attacked by Barriss? SavageBane (talk) 01:02, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Could you provide an image? A torso shot would be preferable.AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 10:07, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Factions[]

I suppose that we should add that she used to be a member of the Jedi order and and the Republic. Also, should I order her alliances by chronological order?AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 06:57, August 2, 2014 (UTC)

Dark Disciple[]

Can someone who has read the book Dark Disciple add whatever Ventress did in it to Character Information? Unsigned comment by 86.46.199.208 (talk • contribs).

  • Dark Disciple doesn't come out until next month. Information from the novel will be added to this page at that time. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 14:22, June 11, 2015 (UTC)

This article has become the subject of an edit war between User:Xd1358 and an unregistered Wookieepedian with the IP address 99.56.52.119. I'm requesting for an administrator to put this article under some form of protection in order to end the edit war.

  • It was resolved with the admin revering his own edits through his own admission that he made a mistake, it was because of the ABY/BBY thing, I don't think a protection is necessary --Lewisr (talk) 21:43, November 5, 2016 (UTC)

Image[]

Would anyone be opposed to me changing the infobox image to this? - The Dark Lord of the Sith 06:07, November 26, 2016 (UTC)

  • Usually, changing the main pic of a major article may require a vote. --LelalMekha (talk) 09:42, November 26, 2016 (UTC)
    • That's why I asked on the talk page first. - The Dark Lord of the Sith 02:35, November 27, 2016 (UTC)
      • I think the current one is fine. It's more detailed, and isn't merely a headshot. Cevan IMPpress (talk) 02:44, November 27, 2016 (UTC)
        • I agree with you the current image is more detailed. However, I do not like how it is merely a cropped version of the cover of "Kindred Spirits." The image I suggested using may be a "headshot," but it is more of a "hero" image than the present one. - The Dark Lord of the Sith 03:09, November 27, 2016 (UTC)
          • I don't see what the problem is with using the image from the "Kindred Spirits" cover. Besides, I do not believe we should sacrifice detail in favor of a more "hero" image. Cevan IMPpress (talk) 03:11, November 27, 2016 (UTC)
            • The problem is it looks sloppy. The shoulder of another character in the background distracts a bit from Ventress. - The Dark Lord of the Sith 15:52, November 27, 2016 (UTC)
              • I prefer the "Kindred Spirits" image. It's more photorealistic. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 16:24, November 27, 2016 (UTC)

Picture (Again)[]

As stated before, this picture does not represent Asajj in her most known form. I would prefer a picture of Ventress in TCW.--98.237.191.70 23:19, January 7, 2017 (UTC)

  • I think wookiepedia uses the image of the older appeareance of the character.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:36, January 7, 2017 (UTC)

Ventress as Tyranus' Apprentice:

In the canon portion about Ventress, she is referred to as an apprentice and also as not being an apprentice. Shouldn't this be cleaned up?

We have a canon source stating that Ventress is an apprentice, which is Dark Disciple. The SW website's Databank still has her old content up, from before the release of Dark Disciple, stating that she wasn't his apprentice.

What should be done in regards to listing her correctly? Maybe in the very least just discuss this situation in "Behind the Scenes" (maybe not) or mentioned in the introduction? Red Heathen (talk) 21:39, October 16, 2017 (UTC)

Zabrak?[]

Where does it officially say that Ventress (or any of the Nightsisters in general) is a Zabrak? The 2015 Battlefront clearly shows Zabrak females with horns; none of the Nightsisters have them. The article links to the Databank but the Databank article never says outright that she's a Zabrak, just a Dathomirian, and only the males are explicitly referred to as Zabraks. Should this be changed to simply call her a Dathomirian? (apologies if the format is broken, I'm still getting used to it) (talk) 04:27, April 17, 2019 (UTC)

annoyance[]

doesnt it make much more sense to use a clone wars series' image of hers as the first pic ppl see?

and the Appearances section should include a episode tags like "s03e13" on each one.

these wiki is written by hardcore fans. not very friendly for casual browsers to look for info Unsigned comment by 208.118.222.17 (talk • contribs).

  • This has been discussed above previously, I'd recommend taking a look! I think the templates for the episodes is okay, not quite sure about the need to include the season/episode number in them. In what way is it not very friendly for casual readers? --Lewisr (talk) 00:35, August 27, 2019 (UTC)

Apprentices[]

Should Savage Opress be considered an apprentice of Ventress in her character bio if it is listed as (secretly)? Should he just not be included? Is there a better word to qualify the relationship than (secretly)? --StarFalco64 (talk) 13:27, July 10, 2020 (EST)

dark disciple in legends[]

i think treating dark disciple as new canon only is wrong its part of the clone wars legacy and george is credit as executive producer in legacy also it finishes ventress story in legends since obsession doesn´t make sense in legends anymore and leland said ventress fate in obsession wasn´t canon Unsigned comment by Beanbunny20 (talk • contribs).

  • Since Dark Disciple was release as part of the new canon, it cannot retroactively be part of Legends, no matter what the source material is. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 22:47, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
  • No, Dark Disciple is not Legends; you don't get to decide what's canon and what's not. The purpose of this talk page is not about your opinions on the matter; they are irrelevant to the article for which this talk page serves. Talk pages are for discussion relating to changes to their respective articles only. OOM 224 22:51, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

i wasn´t talking about my opinion im talking about facts the clone wars legacy with dark disciple is part of as george lucas credit as executive producer.only season 7 is new canonUnsigned comment by Beanbunny20 (talk • contribs).

  • Just because George Lucas was involved in something doesn't mean that thing is Legends. Now please, do not continue this discussion here because it is off-topic with regards to the Asajj Ventress article. OOM 224 23:00, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

Picture Update?[]

Shouldn't her picture be uodated to her latest appearance in bad batch? Unsigned comment by 24.165.109.21 (talk • contribs).

Just my two cents - I believe she looked absolutely the same last we "saw" her alive before her "death" - which is depicted on the current infobox image. Her haircut is basically the same and she hasn't changed much since then, though she has now got a new outfit and an own symbol as well. --Orgus Ordo (talk) 11:59, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
