Alongside the Galactic Republic's finest, they designed the Starlight Beacon space station—including its Jedi temple—and inspired other engineers and specialists to participate in the project. Biography

Starlight Beacon High Republic Trailer

Palo Hidalla designed Starlight Beacon, which launched in 232 BBY.

The renowned Jedi architect Palo Hidalla was a member of the Jedi Order who lived during the High Republic Era.[1] Working in tandem with the Galactic Republic's finest talent,[2] the architect designed the Starlight Beacon space station,[3] including its Jedi temple.[1] Due to Hidalla's involvement in designing the structure, many engineers and specialists from across the Republic decided to join the project. The architect's designs were then used by laborers working under[3] the construction overseer Shai Tennem to construct the station.[1]

Starlight Beacon was launched in the Galactic Frontier[1] in 232 BBY.[4] The temple that Hidalla designed was the second largest in the galaxy, dwarfed only by the Jedi Temple on Coruscant,[1] the planetary capital of the Republic. Like the rest of Starlight Beacon,[3] Hidalla's temple[1] represented a symbol of hope while dually serving as a practical Frontier base of operations for the Jedi.[3] When Starlight Beacon was attacked by Nihil marauders in 230 BBY,[4] Jedi Padawan Bell Zettifar and Jedi Master Elzar Mann thought about Starlight Beacon's architects shortly before the station was destroyed.[2] Jedi Master Harli Cogra mentioned Hidalla in the third chapter of Chronicles of the Jedi, a document that detailed the Jedi of the High Republic written[3] in 229 BBY.[5]

Powers and abilities

As a member of the Jedi Order, Hidalla could wield the Force. The Jedi was renowned for their skills as an architect,[1] having inspired many to join the Starlight Beacon project due to their involvement.[3]

  5. Star Wars: The High Republic: Chronicles of the Jedi establishes that the in-universe book Chronicles of the Jedi was written weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates to 230 BBY. The issuing of the Guardian Protocols, dated by The High Republic Character Encyclopedia to 229 BBY, are depicted in The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1 as taking place one week after Starlight Beacon's destruction. With this, Chronicles of the Jedi must have been authored no earlier than 229 BBY. Chronicles of the Jedi further establishes that Pra-Tre Veter is still a Grand Master of the Jedi Order, meaning it was written before his death, which The High Republic Character Encyclopedia states took place in 229 BBY. Therefore, Chronicles of the Jedi must have been written in 229 BBY.
