"The A-wing is a single-pilot craft, but we have found the two seater RZ-1T trainer extremely helped in certifying bust pilots on the equipment. If models are available, we could use A-wing trainers at the flight schools on Homon and Farstey."
―Jun Sato, in a message to Jan Dodonna[1]

Homon was an astronomical object in the Mid Rim where a flight school was located, serving an organized rebellion against the Galactic Empire led by Senator Mon Mothma. In a message to fellow rebel General Jan Dodonna, Commander Jun Sato suggested that the RZ-1T trainer could be used by the flight schools on Homon and the planet Farstey.

Description[]

Homon was a terrestrial astronomical object located in the Mid Rim Territories.[1]

History[]

Commander Sato CT

Jun Sato recommended that Homon and Farstey could make use of RZ-1T trainers.

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Homon was the site of a flight school for an organized rebellion against the Empire secretly led by Senator Mon Mothma.[1] Between 4 BBY and 3 BBY,[2] rebel Commander Jun Sato wrote to General Jan Dodonna, detailing how[1] he[3] had found the RZ-1T trainer helpful in certifying bush pilots for A-wing starfighters. Sato added that the flight schools on Homon and[1] the planet[4] Farstey could make use of training craft models if available.[1]

In 2 BBY,[5] a galactic map was made for Mothma, which covered the rebellion's safe worlds, starfighter hubs at level five or higher, operations headquarters, shadow planets, and deep space caches. Homon was marked on the map as one of three starfighter hubs of level five or above, the other two being Farstey and[1] the planet[6] Tierfon. The map, as well as Sato's message to Dodonna, were both eventually collected by archivist Hendri Underholt and included in the archive of non-electronic documents known as The Rebel Files.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Homon was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the 2017 reference book and boxed set Star Wars: The Rebel Files, written by Daniel Wallace.[1] Originating in the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet[7] Homon was first mentioned in "Extract of Minutes from the 251st Meeting of the Alliance High Command," a short companion narrative within The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook. Written by Paul Murphy, the book was published in 1990 as part of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[8]
