The Crash Site was an area on the planet Zeffo formed when a Venator-class Star Destroyer crashed onto Zeffo's surface after suffering heavy damage in a battle against a Separatist dreadnought. The location served as a center where to the right side of the location was the Venator Wreckage, on the left was the Ice Caves and Imperial Headquarters with the middle side being the Broken Wing. Much of the location was flooded[1] and by 14 BBY,[2] the only known entrance to the Venator Wreckage was via an ion thrust engine located inside the Crash Site.[1]

At some point in the Imperial Era, the villagers who lived on Zeffo came across the Crash Site and built a memorial honouring the fallen clone troopers. They were unaware however of the truth of Order 66.

By 14 BBY,[2] the Galactic Empire occupied the planet and built the Imperial Dig Site near the crashed Venator Class Star Destroyer which could be accessed using a turbolift.[1]

In 14 BBY,[2] Cal Kestis would come across the Crash Site while exploring the Imperial Excavation near it.[1]

In 14 BBY,[2] Cal Kestis found and harvested a Dreamwort seed. He grew the seed in a terrarium in Greez's ship, the Stinger Mantis as a way to thank Greez Dritus for his help during the secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order.[1]
