Phillak were creatures native to the mountains of the planet Zeffo. They had three sharp horns, which they could use to attack. However, they had poor vision, meaning that it was difficult for phillak to change course to avoid crashing into obstacles.[1] Phillak were highly territorial and were prone to charge at any perceived threat without hesitation or regard for self-preservation.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Phillak first appeared in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment.[1] During development, inspiration was derived from two charging animals from Earth; a ram and a wild boar. Concept art for the phillak was done by Jean-Francois Rey.[2]
