"United Earth is my home. Its citizens are my family. I've spent the last 20 years fighting to protect both."
– Diatta Ndoye, 3190 ("Coming Home")

General Diatta Ndoye was a 32nd century United Earth Defense Force flag officer.

Biography[]

Early career[]

For some time, she defended her homeworld from dilithium raiders from Titan, namely Wen, unaware Wen was a Human and that there was a just cause for him trying to get dilithium.

In 3189, when the USS Discovery first came to Earth in that era, she held the rank of captain and was the commanding officer of the fleet of starships that intercepted them.

She boarded Discovery along with other members of her crew, and they did an inspection. Eventually Ndoye's forces learned of Wen's true background, and they decided to enter peace talks, thanks to the work of Michael Burnham, Cleveland Booker and Captain Saru. (DIS: "People of Earth")

Dealing with Species 10-C[]

By 3190, Ndoye had been promoted to the rank of general. That same year, the President of United Earth dispatched Ndoye to represent Earth in talks regarding how to deal with the Dark Matter Anomaly at Federation Headquarters. (DIS: "...But to Connect") The general was later one of the delegates who boarded Discovery with the intent of going beyond the galactic barrier to make contact with Species 10-C, believed to be the creators of the DMA. (DIS: "The Galactic Barrier")

Ndoye went rogue to help Cleveland Booker and Ruon Tarka in their efforts to destroy the DMA. Remorseful, she later piloted a suicide mission to destroy Booker's ship which was successful. Discovery managed to beam out Ndoye in time and, although she suffered serious injuries, Ndoye survived.

A recovered Ndoye was later present when United Earth and Titan announced their intention to rejoin the Federation. The President of Earth expressed relief at the general's recovery and asked Ndoye to make it her last close call. (DIS: "Coming Home")
