What to expect
The party-run caucuses convene at 9 p.m. Eastern time and are expected to end at 11 p.m. Eastern time. Only registered Republicans were eligible to participate, and those who had a valid excuse were allowed to cast an absentee ballot.
Utah Democrats are participating in a separate state-run presidential primary election, and polls close at 10 p.m. Eastern time. The state primary, which will include races for state and congressional offices, will be held on June 25.
