"His name is Jerdon Bly, and he'll be entertained tonight by Baron Yasto Attsmun on his yacht, the Undisputed Victor."
―Contessa Alissyndrex delga Cantonica Provincion gives Lexo Sooger orders to kill Jerdon Bly aboard Yasto Attsmun's yacht[7]

Yasto Attsmun was a Ungrila male tyrannical baron from Listehol who was the head of Attsmun Cybernetics[3] and owned the yacht Undisputed Victor. During the Cold War between the Resistance and the First Order, he spent time on the planet Cantonica where he hosted parties every night aboard his yacht while sailing on the Sea of Cantonica. During one yacht party, the baron spoke with the arms dealer Jerdon Bly, who was murdered by Attsmun's masseuse Lexo Sooger. In order to cover his escape, Sooger then spread word that there was a fire onboard the yacht, causing the baron and his guests to quickly evacuate. In the year 34 ABY, Attsmun was hosting another party on board his yacht where he made unsuccessful romantic advances toward the club owner Ubialla Gheal. Later that year, Attsmun sought after an ancient relic, eventually leading to his demise.

Biography[]

Attsmun cybernetics[]

Baron Yasto Attsmun was the head of Attsmun Cybernetics, making a fortune for his work selling cybernetics and droids. He also made droids, including the Attsmun Industries Droid, the Attsmun Industries elite Droid, and the Attsmun Industries Heavy Droid, painted in his favourite color, blood red.[3]

The constant host[]

"May I steal Lady Ressad away for a while?"
"By all means."
―Bly asks Attsmun to leave his company[7]
Undisputed Victor

Yasto Attsmun hosted parties aboard his yacht, the Undisputed Victor.

Baron Yasto Attsmun was a Ungrila[4] male[5] from Listehol who spent time on the planet Cantonica during the Cold War between the First Order and the Resistance. He constantly hosted parties aboard his yacht the Undisputed Victor as it sailed on the Sea of Cantonica, with many guests returning night after night. While on the world, he was a patron of Zord's Spa and Bathhouse in the city of Canto Bight, where he was a client of the Dor Namethian masseur Lexo Sooger.[5]

During one of Attsmun's parties, he spoke to the arms dealer Jerdon Bly at the stern of the Undisputed Victor shortly after the yacht had left the Canto Bight boathouse. The baron asked about an arms deal that Bly was brokering the following day with the First Order, after which Bly demanded that Attsmun introduce him to Lady Centada Ressad, another guest aboard the yacht. After the baron had made introductions between the pair, Bly asked to be left alone with Ressad and Attsmun was happy to oblige, departing to speak with another cluster of guests.[5]

A party interrupted[]

"I was surprised. He's not a man known for generosity. I'm really not sure what came over him. I can assure you, though, that this particular refreshment does not have any inebriating qualities. The baron wants you to celebrate with him, but that is not an invitation to abandon your duties."
―Sooger lies to guard about the baron sending him a drink while preparing to assassinate Bly[7]
Ubialla Gheal and Yasto Attsmun

Ubialla Gheal and Baron Attsmun drank together on his yacht.

Shortly after Bly and Attsmun parted ways, Sooger was discovered disguised as a waiter in a restricted area of the yacht by one of the baron's guards. Sooger, who had orders to kill Bly from Contessa Alissyndrex delga Cantonica Provincion, lied to the guard and told him that the baron had sent him down a drink in order to celebrate winning a bet on a fathier race. The guard believed the lie and left Sooger alone, who then lured Bly down to the quiet area of the the Undisputed Victor and murdered him. In order to cover his escape, the masseur spread word that there was a fire onboard the yacht, causing the baron and all his guests to evacuate.[5]

After the cold war erupted into open conflict between the two factions involved[6] in the year 34 ABY,[8] Attsmun was hosting another party aboard his yacht. During the festivities, he stood at the vessel's railing with[6] Ubialla Gheal, owner of a nightclub in Canto Bight.[1] The pair clinked their glasses of drink together,[6] but Gheal turned down advances made by the baron.[1]

Search for eternal life[]

" I find out the baron thinks that his cybernetics, plus the relics he's hired me to find, are the key to eternal life!"
Lens Kamo, telling a droid repair technician about the baron's goals.[3]

Attsmun obsessed with the idea of eternal life, driving him to experiment on sentient and non-sentient creatures, believing that combining the power of ancient relics and his cybernetics held the key to eternal life.[3]

Hiring Lens Kamo[]

"I hired you for those rough edges! But also, because I know your smarter than that."
―Yasto Attsmun telling Lens Kamo why he hired her[3]

At some point, Attsmun hired cyborg treasure hunter Lens Kamo and her Gergilla Ayuu to find ancient relics he believed that with his cybernetics, held the key to eternal life. Eventually, Kamo found out about Attsmun's experiments. This led to Lens and Ayuu trying to escape the baron's laboratory resulting in Ayuu being seemingly killed by the baron. It turned out that Attsmun had really captured the gergilla and experimented on him and cybernetically enhanced the gergilla with a control switch to obey his every command.[3]

The hunt for the relic[]

"These relics, they're not just bedtime stories for younglings! Their power is quite real."
―Yasto Attsmun[3]

At some point, Attsmun found out about an ancient Sith relic and sought to find it. In 34 ABY, he captured the Dyplotid Deek in the Sardeevem Chasm on Batuu and tortured him to death to try to find out it's location. later that year, Ithorian collector Dok-Ondar hired Lens Kamo and a Droid repair technician to obtain a Sith relic. While visiting the Cavern of the Moons on Batuu, the technician was cornered by two of the baron's droids and a hologram of Attsmun appeared. Attsmun gave the technician a chance to join him.[3]

The technician responded by shooting the two droids and escaping the Cavern of the Moons destroying some of Attsmun's droids along the way. After this, the Baron and his droids went to an ancient Jedi Temple where he sent many of them to attack the technician and Kamo. The technician held off the droids long enough for Lens to get the relic. Attsmun tried to convince Lens to give him the relic while the technician caught up with her, to which she refused.[3]

When the two tried to escape the temple they were cornered by Attsmun and two of his droids on a bridge. Attsmun tried threatening the two to give over the relic, and put the situation behind them. When Kamo accused the Baron of killing her partner Ayuu, the Baron then revealed that he didn't kill Ayuu, rather "made him better". The Gergilla then jumped down onto the bridge. Attsmun ordered Ayuu to "relieve your former partner of the relic, pull her arms out - but only if you have to". Ayuu then responded by charging at Kamo, smashing the stone pillars supporting the bridge and causing everyone on it to fall into the deep chasm below.[3]

Death[]

"I offered you a place in eternity, and this is the thanks I get! Now if you'd be so kind to let me know what the other side holds as I watch the light slowly drain from your eyes!"
―Baron Yasto Attsmun's last words[3]

After the fall, the technician woke up as Ayuu climbed out of the rubble. The huge gergilla saw the technician and charged to attack. Ayuu's former owner Lens Kamo jumped onto the gergilla's back with his control switch, trying to push the switch to free Ayuu from Attsmun's control. Kamo then accidentally dropped the control switch onto the ground. Ayuu threw her off his back deeming her unconscious. The technician picked up the control switch, switched it off, thus freeing Ayuu from Attsmun's control. Ayuu fell to the ground, unconscious. Kamo then woke up and ran over to the technician, asking them where Attsmun was. Attsmun woke up and walked over to the pair holding them at gunpoint with his blaster. Just as the baron was about to kill the pair, Ayuu awakened, grabbing the Baron and smashing him against the cave walls, killing him. Ayuu threw Attsmun's lifeless body onto the ground with a loud roar. The baron's body was left in the crumbling cave while the technician, Kamo, and Ayuu escaped with the relic. Attsmun's body was likely crushed in the resulting cave in.[3]

Personality and traits[]

"And you're selling the same blasters to the First Order that you already sold to the Resistance?"
"Yes, of course. Once the First Order knew the Resistance carried them, they had to have some, too. Wouldn't do to be outgunned."
"Brilliant! Simply brilliant."
―Attsmun contemptuously questions Jerdon Bly about his arms dealing[7]

Attsmun was an alien with white hair.[6] He was a tyrant who was not known for his generosity and never deigned to acknowledge servile beings or look at them. While speaking with Bly, he acted politely to the arms dealer but oozed contempt.[5]

"Pablo Rayne Kiri."
―Attsmun's dialogue referencing members of the Story Group[9]
