"Ruby, come in! And meet the most skilled droid repair technician in the outpost... me, of course."
Mubo, jokingly introducing the technician to R00-8Y[2]

A droid repair technician was active during the war between the First Order and the Resistance.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Born in a small village far from the Black Spire Outpost, on Batuu, the technician was frustrated with having been born and raised on a backwater Outer Rim planet, and dreamed of seeking riches on Coruscant or other exotic worlds mentioned by smugglers and rogues who visited Batuu. The technician dreamed of playing an important role in the future of the galaxy.[1]

Mubo's service[]

At some point, the technician started to work for business owner Mubo, who taught his apprentice some of his droid-repairing skills. Mubo offered the technician the chance to fulfill the dream of traveling off-world as a crew member on one of his transport spacecraft. The repairperson took the job, and started to regularly ferry droid parts to Batuu from other planets.[1]

After being attacked by the Guavian death gang on Mubo and J-4X's cargo transport, the droid repair technician crash-landed onto the planet Batuu in an escape pod that was nearly destroyed by the leader of this Guavian cell, Tara Rashin.[2]

On the planet, the repair technician went to Seezelslak's cantina where he met up with Mubo. The repair technician got the job of getting the cargo back before the Guavians did. After completing the mission, they found C-3PO, who was maimed by Kowakian monkey-lizards. After they both got back to Mubo's shop, where 3PO stayed, Mubo told the repair technician that they'd been replaced. The repair technician still worked with C-3PO to find R2-D2 though. They both went through the Batuu Wilds once more to Rashin's Guavian tower and they found R2. Rashin then came out and battled the repair technician, but in the end, she was defeated by R2-D2, who threw heavy containers at Rashin's custom AT-RT's legs, tripping it and making the pirate fall to her death.[2]

After the battle for the cargo and against the Guavians, the repair technician still stopped by to see Mubo, C-3PO and R2-D2 and all of the mini-droids the technician had collected. Spending time with Seezelslak at his cantina, the technician became Seezelslak's hunter in the wilds for rare drink ingredients. The repair technician got a free drink from this and was told the story of Ady Sun'Zee and the dark temple.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The technician serves as the player-controlled character of the virtual reality experience Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge.[2]
