- Cade Cade, he's our man. If he can't do it, he'll create something that will. Anyone who's here regularly probably already knows the name Cade. From automating the reviewing panel meetings, to the absolute beast of a Revan article, Cade's done it all. His technical skills are second to none, and each day he comes up with new Cade branded solutions for problems we didn't know we had. Cade also has previous admin experience, having served as one from 2014 to 2017, and I'm excited to start a vote to bring him back! He's always around helping others and doing impossible tasks, so let's bring him back on the team! Fun fact also, Cade is one of the reasons I stuck around back in the day! - I've gone back and forth on this since this went up, but I think I need to throw in my support. Jocastabot and RoboCade have been invaluable to recent editing Editoronthewiki (talk) 15:07, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- His technical prowess aside, Cade is undoubtedly dedicated to Wookieepedia's community, has fine knowledge of how the site operates, and brings a level-headed presence to our Discord discussions. Over the years as an ex-admin, Cade has also improved on communicating with other users even when in heated situations, so I am sure that he would make a fine addition to the admin team. - After thinking on this, I've come to the decision to vote support. I admit that I was hesitant on this vote because of Cade's activity levels. I've been here since August 2021, and since then it's felt like Cade has resurfaced only to disappear multiple times. While I think this can be indicative of failing to commit to the Wook, I realize the reality is Cade is committed to the Wook. The fact that Cade has remained in the Discord and responded to various pings (Occasionally with delay :P) and kept his bots running for us, proves he's here for the Wook. Maybe Cade isn't able to commit to the Wook 24/7, but I'd argue it's healthy that someone isn't fully devoted to the Wook. Cade also brings a new scope of knowledge to the admin team as an experienced coder. Something I think the admin team can benefit from are various "experts" in different Wook duties, and the current administration is missing a dedicated coder (No offense to our admins learning/recently learned to code). On top of these observations, the past week Cade really proved to me that he has a level-head to approach upsetting situations. I'm confident casting this vote now. NBDani

- I understand that some may have reservations about Cade's activity but honestly I do not think it's enough of a concern to vote oppose. I think Dani made an excellent point when they referenced his level headed behaviour during the crises recently-his response to everything was very much in the vein of what this site should look for in a leader. - I've long been in awe of Cade since my og run on the wiki, very happy to support in a time when I think our admin team needs a boost. Commander Code-8 Hello There! 14:20, 10 May 2023 (UTC)

No offense to Cade Calrayn, who has been a Wookieepedia editor for longer than myself, but I don't think he should become an administrator of this site. While I acknowledge and appreciate his coding work on the site, I, personally, have seen little to no community engagement or leadership from him, two traits an administrator should possess. I also would like to mention that Calrayn's activity on Wookieepedia has been inconsistent over the years; I don't believe that, as he has done previously, he won't leave the site for years again. Should Calrayn continue his work here consistently for a while, I'll be happy to support him in the future; however, definitely not right now. - Cade, the work you've done for the wiki in recent times is nothing short of amazing, and I'm glad someone with your expertise is working with us, but I feel that it doesn't directly translate to working well in a leadership role, at least not currently. My biggest concern is your inconsistent activity on the wiki; you were failing to respond to pings on the Discord server for a long time at one point. Samonic also mentioned a lack of community engagement, which I have to agree with sadly. From my observation at least, you rarely disclose your thoughts on community matters such as on Senate Hall threads and what not. If you want my support, you need to show me that you can satisfy my aforementioned concerns. In short, it's too soon for you to attain leadership over the community, but I will definitely support when I feel you are ready. Please don't take this personally. UberSoldat93

- You’re both within your rights to oppose, but I will say I don’t understand the difference between supporting Anil, who took a similar long hiatus, and me, who has taken hiatuses when real life took precedence. It seems to me that the difference was that you needed something from me (help with the bots) during my hiatuses, and I don’t think that’s necessarily fair to make you vote oppose on mine but support for Anil. Additionally, as for Senate Hall threads, I contribute where I feel my input is necessary, and that’s not always true for every senate hall. Plus I’m naturally more active in Discord due to the format. Cade

- Honestly, assuming that a user opposes your nomination because they needed your bots is something an administrator should not do. As for the difference between supporting AnilSefiroglu and supporting you, I cannot see where Anil took a break that lasted four years. Although Anil has taken breaks, upon reviewing his contributions, I don't see a similar hiatus. Samonic

- Honestly, I could be proven wrong and after a while you'll turn out to be a great choice, but my vote right now is partly based on the timing of this nomination, which as I've already stated is too early. As Sam explained above, Anil's hiatuses weren't as long as yours have been. As for community engagement, to me a good admin goes out of their way to get noticed and involved in these affairs. By abstaining, it's very difficult to ascertain your opinions on certain matters, especially when the thoughts of those who are elected to lead us on changes to the site and other such matters should be at least publicly known. - Per what was said above, Cade's technical skills are absolutely incredible but I don't think they necessarily translate as a sign of leadership. Rsand 30 (talk) 15:44, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
