Re:Internet citation template archives[]

Hi Nano, thanks for letting me know. I had noticed that message and tried looking into it, although I was under the (apparently incorrect?) assumption that the issue would remedy itself over time and the link would eventually be considered verified. I'm not entirely certain I understand still though—is there some other place I should be pasting the archive link now then, to make it be considered "verified"? BanthaCite[]

I used the template on the Fiddler 10 page, and it acts strange when adding a tag after it. Is something maybe not "closed" in the template? --JMM (talk) 18:27, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi[]

Hey NanoLuuke, and thanks. I'll be updating all the respective references pretty soon, filling in redlinks and adding images. I'll have to look up that new wookieeproject and probably subscribe it. If you recall, I also did some work related with SWTOR web articles. In regards to the item topic, I can't say I remember much but it's certainly open for discussion. :) We'll talk soon. StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Winterz (talk) 09:19, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

  • You are absolutely correct. It's strange that someone introduced the "onslaught" parameter when there was already the "ons" right above in the template's data. Worse, "ons" had already been applied to thousands of articles. I will make a bot request for it. StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Winterz (talk) 12:54, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Dunedude525[]

Greetings Nano, I was wondering why u undid my new part about the scions? It matches perfectly with lore and I cited sources. Unsigned comment by Dunedude525 (talk • contribs).

  • I need help with aspects of sourcing you noted.. Are there any simple methods to get it written properly and may I undo changes briefly to fix the problem or how can I readd the part deleted back without obstructing the page? Unsigned comment by Dunedude525 (talk • contribs).
    • I got warned, and I cited the articles correctly. It may have not been perfect but I worked for HOURS on the scions article. If it needed to be fixed I could have just been told Dunedude525 (talk) 21:12, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
      • Help. I need help fixing the scions page so I can apply my edits properly. Dunedude525 (talk) 20:16, 3 June 2022 (UTC)

kyber crystrals[]

EDITED: if you could please review the talk page for Lightsaber Crystals i've been trying to figure out a way to clarify or remove the inclusion of kyber as an "also known as", since there are no examples of lightsaber crystals generally being referred to as kyber crystals anywhere in Legends (making the statement I edited incorrect regardless of opinion on the following) and only one instance of Kyber Crystals as a term at all in season 5 of SW:TWC directly conflicting with all other legends definitions of lightsaber crystals (it is in fact an early example of the Canon concept of Kyber Crystal. my general issue is that at the very least "kyber crystals" exist as a subtype of lightsaber crystal the way pontite crystals are (IE it would be like saying rectangles, also known as squares; or soup, also known as ministrone), but that in actual fact the most clarifying thing to note is that TCW introduces an entirely new concept of "kyber" as a semi sentient semi biological manefestation of the will of the force and it should either be noted explicitly in Legends or removed entirely from it (preferable) thanks Keithberries (talk) 00:29, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Darth Nox[]

You are wrong to remove the purple eye color on the Darth Nox page. The purple has absolutely nothing to do with player choice. We get it regardless of our choices; certain times we/they use Force lightning, the Force-walk ritual and at the very end of the story when our/their eyes turn purple even if our character frees the ghosts/helps them find peace. Andrewh7 (talk) 19:22, 7 July 2022 (UTC) Andrewh7

How exactly is it temporary. I just gave examples that proved it was permanent, not just the Force-walk/using the power of the other ghosts to defeat Thanaton. Andrewh7 (talk) 19:49, 7 July 2022 (UTC) Andrewh7
What makes you think all of those examples I gave do not prove it is permanent? It is used in certain times in the story and not just because of some ritual or something that is the cause of it and goes away. Andrewh7 (talk) 18:47, 8 July 2022 (UTC) Andrewh7
I get what you are saying, but just because it is not permanent-permanent, does not mean that it is not enough to leave it on the page. Belonging/leaving on the infobox is not just an eye color that continues past a certain point like their standard eye color (the eye color that we choose as part of their appearance). It has been used more than enough times in the story that it is enough to just leave it the way it was. It is not just something that is decided by the player like the yellow/orange/red. It is used in the story when the player uses their dark side powers at key points. Andrewh7 (talk) 20:20, 9 July 2022 (UTC) Andrewh7

SWG Quotes[]

Hi, this should be feasible. Best, Hk 47 (talk) 23:38, 13 August 2022 (UTC)

  • You are welcome. For the rest of the quotes, I know there is still some work to do but, to avoid excessive work, I won't start before my SWG-related bot requests are done. Kind regards, Hk 47 (talk) 12:25, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Hi, I started to correct the quotes at the same time I'm checking for bot errors. Indeed, this will keep me busy for a while. Best, Hk 47 (talk) 20:51, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

A Weird Heads Up[]

You might see increased traffic on your talk page here because of an anon user over at Wikipedia who was vandalizing articles with a link to your talk page here. Here's a link to their contributions over there in case you find it helpful. Millahnna (talk) 14:01, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

THey just got their IP ban for a day over at Wiki so I'd wager they'll be back here shortly. Good luck! Millahnna (talk) 14:24, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

Cite web maintenance categories and index pages[]

I don't have a very good understanding of the code, but it looks like Module:Cite web prohibits the adding of maintenance categories for articles not in the mainspace. Can this be changed so that Index pages will have maintenance added as well? (ie Index:Mitth'raw'nuruodo). ThrawnChiss7 Mitth symbol Assembly Cupola 13:35, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

Hyperspace Mountain refs[]

Just throwing out there, with those Hyperspace Mountain dates I just added the infobox and grabbed the dates already in the article. I didn't add them myself. Though now I see citations are needed, I'll add them. --JMM (talk) 15:26, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

Darth Marr sources[]

I have the SWTOR Encyclopedia, and I can find nowhere where it says that he becomes the official head of Military Offense and Military Strategy. Furthermore, Military Offense alone doesn’t make sense because Darth Arkous becomes head of that Sphere, and he debuts before Shadow of Revan, but the Encyclopedia doesn’t go past the Ilum storyline. How can the Encyclopedia be used as a source for an event that hadn’t happened yet?

Should I add this information?[]

According to a CNN article about the passing of Kenny Baker, his wife, Eileen Baker, died in 1993. However, I found copyrighted images of her at the premiere of The Phantom Menace (1999, 6 years later). Do you think the CNN article is reliable and the images are fake, or is it the other way around?

I still don't understand your revision to the "Exchange" page on 05:02, 9 September 2022[]

I altered the dates to better represent Exchange activity during their most recent appearance and you said that I need a better explanation behind the change. What else could I possibly have added to make it clearer? Unsigned comment by Wob000032 (talk • contribs).

  • Reply: Thank you for the information. I guess I understand a little more now. It would be nice if we could communicate in a more fast-paced setting instead of the slow back-forth messaging that Fandom offers. I've considered helping out on Wookieepedia for years, but every time I try, I feel like I'm just not wanted, or that the edits I make just aren't good enough, and its bothered me for a long time. Why did you revert my edits to Jedi Civil War?[]

I'm curious as to why. Unsigned comment by Darklordoftech (talk • contribs).

Centran Sabacc[]

You removed my section on Centran Sabacc from List of fanon elements in continuity "until source is added." I'm not sure what you mean; I listed Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide which is where the name was made official. What other source do you want? Thanos6 (talk) 05:23, 1 April 2024 (UTC)

I know the name was coined on Wookieepedia because I'm the one who created it. If you go back to the very first revision of the Centran Sabacc page, it has the banner at the top saying it's a conjectural name. I presume the banner was removed after Smuggler's Guide made it official. As for the "influences on canon" part, I assume you mean in the article on Wookieepedia itself? I wasn't aware of that section myself, but now that I am, I can add the mention there, too. Thanos6 (talk) 12:24, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
Would you mind taking care of it, if it's not too much trouble? I've never played TOR and might get something wrong adding its details. Thanos6 (talk) 23:10, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

RE:Unverified and web citations[]

Hi NanoLuuke. Yeah, it seems Joe Books is a subject that is troubling as far as iron-clad sources. Thanks for letting me know which information is maybe true or false. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 12:42, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

  • Oh yes, I understand. Especially when the information isn't proven reliable. And of course we can agreed on the need to enforce such rules as far as sourcing/referencing newly-added information that are wholly necessary to make the Wiki the best online resource. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 14:02, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
