Vena was an astronomical object located in the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice[2] within grid square P-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The celestial body was located along a hyperspace route[1] between the astronomical objects Rajtiri and Bravais of the Expansion Region and the Inner Rim, respectively.[3]

Vena was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the fifty-second issue of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[4] which was published by De Agostini around December 30, 2015.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Vena was a planet[6] that was first mentioned in the first issue of the comic series Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan: Last Stand on Ord Mantell, which was written by Ryder Windham and published by Dark Horse Comics[7] on December 20, 2000.[8]
