"Aren't you tired of running?"
"I'm so tired. And I feel so alone."
―Barriss Offee and the Jedi[1]

A human Jedi survived the destruction of the Jedi Order and the rise of the Galactic Empire. They went into hiding on a rocky planet, working alongside a local rebel cell. The Fourth Sister and Barriss Offee, Imperial Inquisitors, were dispatched to eliminate the Jedi. After the pair located them, the Jedi dueled the Inquisitors, eventually being convinced to surrender by Offee. The Fourth Sister struck them down regardless, leading Offee, who had discovered the human still lived and wished to help them, to turn against her fellow Inquisitor before returning to save the Jedi.

Biography

The lone Jedi

"Our target is known to be working with a local rebel cell, so don't let your guard down."
"From the intel, it seems unclear whether a Jedi is involved or not."
―The Fourth Sister and Barriss Offee[1]
RockyPlanetSettlement-Realization

The Jedi worked with a rebel cell based in this remote settlement.

A human served as a Jedi of the Jedi Order[1] in the final days of the Galactic Republic. In 19 BBY, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire, ordering the destruction of the Jedi Order and for all survivors to be hunted down.[2] The human Jedi survived the fall of the Order, and they eventually went into hiding on[1] a rocky planet.[3] On the planet, they worked alongside a local rebel cell based in a settlement that refused to show loyalty to the Empire.[1]

However, intel regarding the Jedi's collaboration with the rebel cell reached[1] the Inquisitorius, fallen Jedi who served the Empire as Jedi hunters,[2] and the Grand Inquisitor dispatched two Inquisitors, the Fourth Sister and Barriss Offee, to eliminate them. Offee believed the intel was unclear as to whether a Jedi was involved, while the settlement's governor claimed there was no Jedi on the planet when the Inquisitors arrived to interrogate the populace. However, Offee learned from a young girl that the Jedi was hiding in the mountains near the settlement, and the two Inquisitors set out to find them after the Fourth Sister slaughtered the governor and a number of civilians.[1]

LynJediDuel-Realization

After they were discovered, the Jedi dueled the Empire's Inquisitors.

A rockfall slowed Offee down as the two Inquisitors climbed the mountain, leading the Fourth Sister to encounter the Jedi on[1] her[3] own. The Jedi dueled with the Fourth Sister, defending against the strikes of her blade with their own lightsaber. As the Jedi swung at the Fourth Sister, the Inquisitor leaped over them. However, the Jedi was able to[1] barrel kick[3] her to the ground. When they went to strike at the incapacitated Fourth Sister, Offee blocked with[1] her[3] lightsaber.[1]

A new chance

"I won't let you die. You're not alone."
―Barriss Offee to the Jedi, after returning to save them[1]

As Offee and the Jedi clashed, the Inquisitor ordered them to surrender. The Jedi stepped back, accusing Offee of treachery, before they continued the duel. They used the Force to push Offee toward the edge of the cliff, but the Inquisitor stopped herself with her blade. Offee evaded the human's next strikes and gave them a chance to surrender, telling them that they did not have to pay for the rest of the Jedi's hubris. The Jedi refused, but the Inquisitor deactivated her blade, offering them a chance for a new life if they turned themself in.[1]

JediBarriss-Realization

The Jedi was rescued by Barriss Offee, who returned for them after turning against the Fourth Sister.

When Offee sympathized with the Jedi, they admitted that they were tired and alone. Offee asked the human to join them, and they extinguished their lightsaber in surrender. However, the Fourth Sister struck the Jedi down from behind, to Offee's dismay. The Fourth Sister took the Jedi's lightsaber, but Offee knelt beside them, discovering they were still alive. Although Offee wished to take the Jedi to the Inquisitors' ship to save them, the Fourth Sister told her to let them die. The Fourth Sister's determination to eliminate the Jedi led Offee to turn on her, throwing her former partner off the cliff and renouncing her status as an Inquisitor. Offee returned to the Jedi and held them in her arms, assuring them that she would not let them die and that they were no longer alone.[1]

Personality and traits

"You're a traitor and a murderer."
"Not true."
"You expect me to believe you?"
―The Jedi and Barriss Offee[1]
BarrissVsRockyPlanetJedi-Realization

The Jedi attempted to strike down the incapacitated Fourth Sister in anger.

Although they felt alone and tired of running in the wake of the Jedi Order's destruction, the human remained determined to fight, initially refusing to stand down when Offee ordered them to. The Jedi refused to believe Offee's claim that their accusations against her were untrue. However, after Offee appealed to the Jedi and offered them mercy if they joined her, they surrendered to the Inquisitor. When Offee returned to rescue them after turning against the Fourth Sister,[1] the Jedi was uncertain, but nodded[3] when Offee told them they were not alone. The human had brown hair, brown eyes, and dark skin.[1]
