- ―The trooper and his Captain[2]
Serving in the Grand Army of the Republic, a clone trooper was stationed on the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility around 21 BBY during the Clone Wars. The Tranquility was assigned to escort Separatist Council member Nute Gunray, who had been captured on the planet Rodia, to the galactic capital of Coruscant. The trooper was one of the many clones assigned to the Star Destroyer. During the voyage to Coruscant, Confederate battle droids in boarding ships attacked the Tranquility. Later, during a patrol, the clone trooper and his captain entered the reactor room, where they did not notice anything unusual. The two clones ordered 327-T, a Treadwell droid, to keep an eye on the room before heading for the prison level to repel the remaining Confederate battle droids.
Biography[]
Born on the Wild Space planet of Kamino, the clone trooper was a clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, created to fight for the Galactic Republic in the Grand Army of the Republic.[1] Around 21 BBY,[3] during the Clone Wars, the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility was sent to the planet Rodia,[4] where Separatist Council member Nute Gunray[5] had been captured.[4] The clone trooper was one of the many troops assigned to the Star Destroyer, which would escort Gunray to the galactic capital of Coruscant.[2] The Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress,[5] however, was sent by[2] Confederate leader Dooku[6] to either kill or rescue Gunray, who possessed valuable Confederate secrets.[2]
The Dark Acolyte attacked the Star Destroyer with several B2 super battle droids, who penetrated the hull of the Tranquility using boarding ships. The battle droids then moved toward the prison level of the ship, where Gunray was being kept. Meanwhile, Ventress infiltrated the ship without being noticed and moved toward the reactor room of the Tranquility, where the clone trooper and his captain were patrolling. The two clones did not spot the Dark Acolyte, who stealthily planted explosives on the reactors in order to cripple the ship. Not noticing anything unusual,[2] the two told a WED-15 Treadwell droid, 327-T, inspecting the reactor room[7] to watch for intruders before locking down the room and leaving for the prison level of the Tranquility, where the remaining battle droids were being repelled.[2]
Personality and traits[]
While in the reactor room of the Tranquility, when he addressed the droid 327-T with the nickname "327," the captain noted that droids did not like to be called by their nicknames.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
First appearing in "Cloak of Darkness," an episode of the first season of The Clone Wars television series, this trooper was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who also voiced the other clone troopers in the show.[7]
