An Imperial clone commando attached to the Advanced Science Division served on Transport 904[3] around 18 BBY. The transport carried a cloned Zillo BeastSpecimen A—that ultimately broke out of captivity and killed the vessel's crew, including the clone commando.

Biography[]

In 18 BBY,[2] more than a year after the formation of the Galactic Empire, the clone commando was stationed aboard a vessel belonging to the Imperial Advanced Science Division, designated as Transport 904. The vessel was transporting Specimen A, a cloned Zillo Beast, to the Imperial facility on the planet Wayland when the cloned animal broke free from its containment and attacked the transport's crew. After consuming nearly all of the ship's crewmembers and damaging it to the point of ripping it out of hyperspace, the Zillo Beast set its sights on the clone commando, who had managed to survive the initial slaughter.[3]

Wielding an electrostaff, the clone commando sprinted down the transport's corridors as the Zillo Beast chased after him. After turning a sharp corner and tripping over a loose cannister, the commando readied his electrostaff and prepared to stand his ground against the beast. After anxiously surveying his surroundings for a moment, the commando looked above himself only to immediately be snatched by the Zillo Beast clone and lifted into the ceiling shafts screaming in terror, where he was swiftly killed and consumed. The transport would eventually crash-land on the planet Silla, where it encountered Clone Force 99 before being recaptured by the Empire.[3]

Personality and traits[]

As a clone of the male bounty hunter Jango Fett, the clone commando bore his genetic template's basic physical characteristics.[3]

The commando was fearful of the cloned Zillo Beast that had broken out of containment on Transport 904, but mustered the courage to stand his ground against the beast moments before his death.[3]

Equipment[]

The commando was equipped with Katarn-class Commando Armor and briefly wielded an electrostaff.[3]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 StarWars-DatabankII Clone Troopers in the Databank (backup link) states that clones were based on the genetic template of the human male Jango Fett and created on the planet Kamino. The entry also establishes that they stood at a height of 1.83 meters. Since "Metamorphosis" portrays this character as a clone of Jango Fett, this article assumes he shares all those characteristics.
  2. 2.0 2.1 Per the reasoning here, the seventh and eighth episodes of The Bad Batch Season 2, "The Clone Conspiracy" and "Truth and Consequences," can be placed in 18 BBY. Therefore, all Season 2 episodes proceeding "The Clone Conspiracy" occur between 19 BBY, which features the end of The Bad Batch Season 1 according to Star Wars: Timelines, and 18 BBY. The Galactic Empire, the formation of which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 19 BBY, sent Mayday's squad to Barton IV over a year prior to the events of the twelfth episode, "The Outpost." As it occurs over a year into the Imperial Era and is set shortly after the events of "Truth and Consequences," the events of "The Outpost" occur around 18 BBY. Following that logic, the ninth through eleventh episodes ("The Crossing" through "Metamorphosis") are also set around 18 BBY because they occur between the events of "Truth and Consequences" and "The Outpost." Finally, all season 2 episodes set after "The Outpost" occur shortly after its events, thereby placing those episodes around 18 BBY as well.
