"Who is running the Lightning Crash now?"
"A She'ar who was none too happy about it until she realized she could use the extremely fancy quarters Graf abandoned. Along with all his wine and cheese."
"Very well."
―Ghirra Starros and Nan[1]

An individual served as part of Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro's She'ar[1]—elite bodyguards loyal to Ro[2]—during the High Republic Era.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] after Nihil General[1] Abediah Viess[4] purged the staff of the Lightning Crash, a Nihil space station which powered the Stormwall hyperspace barrier, the She'ar member was placed in command of the station.[1]

Nihil spy Nan learned the She'ar was unhappy about the assignment until she realized she could use the lavish quarters of the station's former owner—Xylan Graf—and that she could drink Graf's wine, as well as eat his cheese. When Nan spoke with Nihil Minister of Information Ghirra Starros aboard Ro's flagship, the Gaze Electric, the minister asked her who was running the Lightning Crash after Viess' purge. Nan informed Starros of the She'ar's appointment and her feelings on it. Not long after, the station was destroyed by the Republic Defense Coalition and Jedi Order, and any surviving Nihil were rounded up as prisoners.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The She'ar was mentioned in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[5]
