Xylan's quarters were the personal quarters of the physicist Xylan Graf on his space station, the Lightning Crash.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] after Nihil General[3] Abediah Viess[4] purged the staff and a member of Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro's She'ar was placed in command of the station. Although she was unhappy at first about the assignment, she then realized she would be able to use Xylan's quarters, which were considered to be fancy.[3] Later that year,[2] the station was destroyed by the Republic Defense Coalition and Jedi Order.[3]

The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
