A Devaronian served as a captain to the Durand crime family during the Imperial Era. He was tried and executed for treason by Isa Durand.[2]

The captain first appeared in "Paths Unknown,"[2] the second episode of the third season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which premiered on February 21, 2024.[4] He was voiced by Liam O'Brien.[2] Concept art of the captain was completed by Lucasfilm Animation artist Vivian Ly.[5]

The tally marks made by Omega in The Bad Batch Season 3's first episode, "Confined," indicate the events of Season 3, including the Devaronian captain's death on Devaron in the next episode "Paths Unknown," must take place at least 21 standard days following her capture, as depicted in the Season 2 episode "Plan 99." As such, the events of Season 3 must also take place around 18 BBY.
