"Master Windu. You have fought gallantly. Worthy of recognition in the archives of the Jedi Order. But now, it is finished. Surrender, and your lives will be spared."
"We will not be hostages to be bartered, Dooku."
"Then, I'm sorry old friend."
―Dooku offers Gon and the other Jedi a chance to surrender, which is refused by Mace Windu — (audio) Listen (file info)[4]

Tarados Gon was a male Klatooinian Jedi who served the Jedi Order during the Separatist Crisis. Gon fought and died during the First Battle of Geonosis, the opening battle of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Biography[]

Tarados Gon was part of[4] the 200-strong[5] Jedi strike team led by Jedi Master Mace Windu to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala from the Petranaki arena on Geonosis. After Windu revealed the Jedi presence, Gon and the other Jedi emerged from hiding, and engaged the Separatist army in the First Battle of Geonosis. As the Jedi were overwhelmed, he stood between Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto in the 'Circle of Survivors', blue lightsaber at the ready. At this time, Windu and Dooku debated the surrender of the Jedi, until Grand Master Yoda arrived with the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic.[4]

Having survived the initial arena battle, Gon was later killed when the Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry gunship carrying him, Sora Bulq, and Eeth Koth was hit by artillery fire.[2] Bulq and Koth survived the crash but Gon was not so fortunate, succumbing to his wounds.[5]

Behind the scenes[]

Hasbro produced an action figure of Tarados Gon as part of The Legacy Collection in 2009 (BD no.49).[3] The figure featured a Photoshopped illustration of Gon on it's packaging, based on a promotional shot of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi.[source?]

In Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Tarados Gon is depicted with a blue lightsaber throughout most of the Geonosis battle sequence, however, the color of Gon's lightsaber changes to green in a split-second shot, along with Sora Bulq's lightsaber.
